There is this moment that happens in every session, that I always wait for because it is truly my favorite part. It isn’t the location, the light, or the weather. It is the moment when the dog realizes that this session is for them. Their ears perk, they get a little extra bounce in their step, and you can see them really starting to come alive and filled with pure excitement. It is such a small transition that if you aren’t looking for it, you might not catch it, but if you keep a lookout, it is impossible to miss.

Getting to press the shutter at this exact moment, and getting to capture the emotions of a dog’s pure happiness, is something I will never get tired of. And at the end of it all, I then get to hand that captured moment back to the people who love that dog the most, allowing them to see and relive their dog’s joy over and over again.

I am forever thankful for this job, the fellow pet parents who trust me to capture their pets, and the amazing dogs who help to bring it all together. Getting to share in the joy of the love for your dog is something I have dedicated my life to, and I am so thankful to be a part of you and your dog’s story.

As for this photo, you can see the best girl Eris enjoying her action packed session! She is only my second Cane Corso that I have photographed, and she was the absolutely PERFECT combination of beauty and athleticism. Her session was filled with the most gorgeous golden light, and was something out of a dream 😍

Sometimes I am just in awe of the beauty of moments captured during a session. And while I always appreciate these during sessions, getting to see it on camera is something truly special. From the warmth of the light spilling through the trees, to a dog doing their favorite thing on earth while with their favorite person, these moments are something I never forget. And this moment with Bullet was no exception during his session. Perfectly poised amongst the wooded river bank, he matched the Golden Hour sunshine in both color, but also the peaceful moment he took just taking everything all in.

How GORGEOUS is Tipsy?! He had me at blue merle tri 😍, but after meeting him in person, this guy is a blast to hang with! I had to post some sneak peaks of some of the first of his images I’ve gone through because they were too fun not to!

Before and After 📸

Whenever I photograph a dog, I always envision who they are as an individual. For Nox, it was capturing his sheer strength and athleticism, his power, his absolute beauty, and his confidence.

Something special is coming...

I have been sitting on this idea for two years. Thinking it over, talking myself out of it, talking myself back into it, and thinking of ways I could create something that really encompassed how to celebrate the special dog in your life. Truthfully, I even started to launch it last year, and then decided it wasn’t quite ready, so I retracted it. There was just something missing that I couldn’t put my finger on, but knew it needed.

Here’s the thing about an idea that won’t leave you alone though, eventually you have one of those moments of clarity, and everything just seemingly falls into place. And I am really happy to say, that moment is now.

This idea was built for the dog who has impacted you life in more ways than you could ever express. The one you talk to when you’ve had a tough day. The one who has been there for every version of you, and through it all, they gave you their undivided and unconditional love, and never once asked for anything in return. Some people call them heart dogs, some people call them soul dogs, but regardless, they are the dogs who we could have forever with, and it would still never be enough time.

And if you have a dog like that in your life, I think we can all agree that that is something worth celebrating.

I want to tell your story: the one of you and your soul dog and the bond you both share. And these sessions will do exactly that. The Soul Dog Stories Project is coming, and I cannot wait to share it with you all.

And for all the fellow pet parents who have a Soul dog in their life who would like to participate in the project, check the link in my bio to join the waitlist. You’ll be the first to be notified of the details before it is released to the public!

Happy National Pet Day to every dog who has ever stolen the blankets, eaten something they absolutely should not have, made your house a disaster, and are still without a doubt the best part of your day.

To the dogs who greet you like you have been gone for a year, even when you just stepped out to get the mail. To the ones who follow you from room to room, sneak onto the couch the second you turn your back, and somehow always know when you need them most.

Every day is a perfect day to celebrate the dogs are aren’t just in our lives, but truly shape it. Comment your dog’s name, and how you’re celebrating National Pet Day with them so we can all celebrate them!

If I am being totally honest, my work has never really been about just photography.

It all started with loving my childhood dog so completely that the thought of not having more time with her was something I just couldn’t imagine. Fast forward to now, with my current elderly dog Peanut turning twelve this year, and the idea of having to face that same reality again someday is heart breaking. I can tell you with my whole heart that no amount of time would ever feel like enough with her.

You see, that is the thing about dogs. They aren’t forced or expected to love us, but they choose to do it anyways. They love us so selflessly, no matter how we look, what we do, or the kind of mood we’re in. And as a pet parent, they take up so much of our heart that when you are faced to think about a day when they are no longer beside you, it is a reality that no one is ever ready for.

That is why I will never be the photographer squeezing as many sessions into a weekend as possible, or making every shoot feel the same. Every dog, every client, every story is different, and your session should be too. From a custom treat and toy menu built around what your dog loves, to supporting any special needs they have, every detail is planned to support their happiness.

With that being said, I understand that due to the custom nature of my sessions, that they are an investment, and that I may be not the right fit for every pet parent because of it. I also understand some pet parents don’t want artwork, and if art truly doesn’t speak to you, I do offer digital-only packages so that you can still celebrate these moments with your dog in a medium that you prefer.

Regardless of the medium you choose, and from one pet parent to another, I know what it feels like to love a dog the way you love yours. I am here to capture that same feeling in your images, so that you to look back on them, and enjoy them over and over again for years to come.

And just like that, 2026 sessions are now officially open to the public!
I’m announcing this a little later than anticipated, but after a flurry of inquiries from my waitlist, I wanted to get everyone’s dates settled before opening things up. But with that said, I cannot wait for this year.
I’ve spent the past year listening to the pet parents who wanted the full experience — the adventure, the story captured and told, the artwork they’d treasure for decades, to those who wanted something simpler, a beautiful starting point with room to grow.
So in 2026, I’m introducing two distinct ways to work together, both built entirely around you, your dog, your story, and the way you want to enjoy your images.
The first is The Artist Session, my signature offering, perfect for pet parents who want the full experience: artwork and digitals.
The second is my new digital-first session which is perfect for those who want beautiful digital images to start, but have the flexibility to add on artwork or additional digital images later.
If you’d like to learn more about either experience, the link in my bio has everything you need. And if you’re ready to book, I am ready to start planning your adventure. I can’t wait to see you and your dog out there!

I blinked…and somehow almost a whole year flew by.

I have to be honest, between a completely booked 2025 with sessions, my full-time job, and soaking up every ounce of life with Peanut as she ages, posting on social media ended up at the very bottom of my priority list.

I have been so inconsistent on here, but honestly? I don’t regret it one bit. When life gets loud, the things that matter most get quieter, and this year that looked like choosing presence over posting, and memories over metrics.

My business has never been about a follower count, or trendy reels, it has always just been about sharing a love for dogs. But I will be honest, I’ve missed sharing the stories behind the dogs and clients I photograph with you all…

So here I am, showing up again, with a heart full of gratitude for such a busy but amazing 2026 filled with countless sessions I can’t wait to share with you all.

My goal is to post more consistently and to keep sharing these stories with you all in 2026, but for now, enjoy this portrait of Alexandra and Pete. The bond between these two was second to none, and I am so honored to have been able to capture this for them.
