Ahh, Seattle! The city that has it all šŸ™ŒšŸ»

Within a couple of hours you can change your back drop from mountains to insane city views. There is something for everyone.

Because you know your girl loves to educate you in all things elopement, I have gathered my 5 favorite spots for Mountains & Hiking Trails in Seattle ā¤µļø

✨ The Enchantments: Rugged alpine lakes and snow-capped peaks—perfect for couples who are up for an adventure and want an epic, high-altitude elopement. Permits are required.

šŸžļø Lake 22: A glassy lake surrounded by towering evergreens, with a moderate hike that rewards you with stunning views. It’s an ideal spot for a wild yet accessible elopement.

šŸŒ… Rattlesnake Lake & Ledge: Peaceful lake vibes and an epic view. Go for sunrise to have the place to yourselves.

šŸ”ļø Mount Baker: Snowy peaks and remote terrain for a wild, private elopement experience.

šŸŒ„ North Cascades National Park: Untouched wilderness and incredible views, perfect for an intimate elopement. Fall foliage or spring wildflowers are the best times to visit.

Let’s talk about tipping culture—

It’s everywhere these days. Whether it’s grabbing coffee or picking up takeout, those little tip screens seem to pop up everywhere. šŸ˜…

So when it comes to your wedding, figuring out who to tip, how much, and what’s customary can feel overwhelming.

But here’s the thing—it doesn’t have to be stressful. Tipping at weddings should feel simple, casual, and stress-free. It’s just a small way to show gratitude for the people who help make your day special.

Want to know who to tip and how much? Check out our latest blog post for a super easy guide.

Here are some specific questions you might not have thought about—but should definitely consider! These little details will help make your day smooth, personal, and stress-free:

1ļøāƒ£ Ceremony timing: Morning or sunset?
2ļøāƒ£ Weather backup: Do you have a plan B?
3ļøāƒ£ Permits: Is your location permit-required?
4ļøāƒ£ Accessibility: Easy to get to for you and your guests?
5ļøāƒ£ Personal rituals: Any meaningful touches you want to include?
6ļøāƒ£ Getting ready: Where and how will you prep?
7ļøāƒ£ Logistics: How will you travel between locations?
8ļøāƒ£ Timeline: Got a loose schedule to stay on track?
9ļøāƒ£Ā Restrooms: My personal favorite, are there any restrooms at your elopement location?

There is a reason why all of the elopements I plan, things very rarely go wrong. Because even with bumps in the road, ( which will always happen) I have already thought of plans a, b, AND c.

THIS is what it means to work me - to always know that, no matter what your day throws at you, I will be your calming energy and reassurance that everything will be okay.

The ONLY time I have ever not been able to attend an elopement was two weeks after my mom passed away.

I still wanted to go, so badly, because I felt like I was letting my couples down. Making the decision to not go was one of the hardest I’ve ever had to make.

But I knew I would be doing my couples a disservice if I went. I wouldn’t be able to focus and give them the dedication they deserve.

For these two elopements, I hopped on a call with each couple and went over our next steps ā¤µļø

-I already had a replacement photographer for them both. Each photographer was one of my closest friends and I trusted them completely to take care of my couples

-I prepped each photographer with everything they would need to know and make sure my clients knew who these photographers were personally since building friendships is such a huge part of my business

All of the logistics if something like this happens are covered in my contract which is why it’s so important to make sure your contract protects you both (like mine does!) and not just benefitting one party. āœļø

I’m so thankful my couples understood why I had to make this decision, even though it wasn’t ideal. Having an actual relationship with your photographer helps things like this feel better instead of if we just treated each other like vendor and payments.

Your day and your experience are my top priority and I will always ensure everything is taken care of šŸ–¤
