I work with individuals and businesses alike, creating strong visuals that tell personal stories and thoughtfully layer in brand mission and values. Many of my clients are fellow creatives—artists, designers, models, musicians, actors, performers, and small business owners—who radiate their personalities and passions through images. Together, we craft tasteful portraits that evoke nostalgia, dream-like reality, and visual poetry. I also love working with anyone who wants to relive and forever cherish their stories through movie-like scenes, whether for intimate elopements, proposals, love stories, or everyday moments filled with meaning. My projects range from simple to highly produced, indoors or outdoors, with natural or studio light, solo or with a full creative team. "Choosing Alina was one of the best decisions we made for our brand."

Last March, I worked with Kate and Viktor, founders of KRAFTUM Studio—a Vancouver-based business creating handcrafted wooden candles that bring hygge and warmth into homes.

They traveled to the Oregon coast for a brand elevation session that went far beyond product photography. We spent time understanding their philosophy: savoring the journey, not just the destination. Then I created a visual narrative that reflected that—a reverse-chronology story showing them not unpacking, but packing for the next adventure.

When I moved to Portland a little over a year ago, I knew no one in the creative industry. Here, my journey as a photographer and creative director started with pretty much a blank page and the determination to put a ton of hard work into turning my dreams into reality.

This year brought a lot of change—driven by focused work and heartwarming support. I now have a registered business, a fully custom-made website based on my designs, a signature artistic style, an extensive portfolio, and a community of creative, passionate, and truly inspiring individuals around me. Throughout the year, I had the privilege of working with professional models, performers, musicians, and various artists on meaningful and memorable projects. Together, we’ve created numerous galleries that elevate personal brands, help unleash inner creativity, and promote timeless elegance.

As always, my hope is that my work promotes self-love, empowerment, and inspiration in both my collaborators and everyone who has a chance to experience my art. I am looking forward to 2026 with great enthusiasm and excitement as I continue to grow as an artist and bring more tasteful art into this world—so stick around!

As a creative portrait photographer, I always strive to push the boundaries of the ordinary and experiment with different techniques. For this series, I envisioned a powerful movie-like story with the potential for conveying not only the character’s unique personality but also her artistic expressions. To achieve that, we used red light because it is inevitably associates with strong energy and creates a perfect visual contrast with my model’s naturally dark and dramatic hair.

My client had the most wonderful and romantic idea to propose to his partner by Trillium Lake with some stunning views of snowy Mount Hood. While the weather in the fall around here is quite unpredictable, especially in the mountains, the morning of the proposal was perfectly beautiful. One of my client’s wishes was to capture Mount Hood in the background, and we were lucky to have it in almost all the pictures.

When my client told me that they were planning to arrive on a motorcycle, I instantly thought that it would be so great to include it in the proposal pictures. Being such a big part of the story, we definitely had to stage a few shots with the motorcycle after the proposal moment. Working with props like this definitely makes the whole storyline more cinematic and personal. In my work, I strive to have a good balance of a few staged, timeless shots in combination with candid, movie-like frames.

We had everything planned out to a minute. My client did an amazing job at pre-scouting the location and shortlisting a few picturesque spots that he liked. To make sure I was fully prepared on where to hide during the proposal and later direct my couple, I also went there to scout the location. Coincidentally, I was there at exactly the same time as the scheduled proposal a few days later, so I was able to check the light and give some recommendations to my client on where to stand for a more flattering light.

In the heart of this photoshoot lies my determination to deliver the best possible experience to my clients. I value an individual approach and foster a comfortable atmosphere in every session that I do because it’s not just about some beautiful pictures, it’s about memories that live with us throughout life.

As a professional photographer, I take pride in creating a one-of-a-kind experience that inspires, empowers, and helps to unleash my models’ inner creativity and self-expression. By fostering a comfortable environment through expressing kindness, active listening, open communication, and clear expectations, my models are able to relax quickly during the photoshoot, open up, and turn creative ideas into reality.

Creating beautiful, meaningful, and memorable portraits requires both sides to be invested in the process—my models’ cooperation and engagement in the process, as well as my careful directing and encouragement. Every person, their story, and their occasion is unique, and that is exactly why the photoshoot can never be the same. I treat each and every one of my photography projects with great attention to detail and genuine passion for telling my clients’ unique stories.

Photography sessions are not an everyday occurrence for most of my clients; they are more of a luxury, and that’s exactly why it is so important for me to deliver an exceptional experience. Together, we are creating timeless and tasteful still movies that are cherished, shared, and passed through generations.

Ashley and Noah’s elopement-styled shoot is a perfect example of an authentic, story-driven, and expressive project in photography and creative direction that I recently completed. We set clear expectations and shared inspirations from the start, then had open and easy communication throughout the photoshoot, and, in the end, we not only met but exceeded expectations.

Meet the faces behind KRAFTUM Studio—Kate and Viktor. This creative couple designs and handcrafts one-of-a-kind wooden candle holders in Vancouver, Canada. Their pieces infuse homes with hygge, joy, and love.

We captured this brand elevation session over my birthday weekend, along the stunning Oregon coast near Cannon Beach. I’m really proud of this one. Every part of the session—from our conversations about their personal and business values to developing a full visual storyline—was created with care and attention to every detail. We styled and directed a cohesive narrative that reflects who they are and what their brand stands for.

If you’ve been following along, you might notice the story unfolds in reverse. That was intentional. It reflects Kate and Viktor’s philosophy of savoring not just the destination, but the journey. Hopping from place to place, laughing together, living the adventure—that’s what defines their spirit.
