September is Su***de Awareness Month, and this one hits a little differently for me.
Su***de is something that touches far more lives than we realize. Behind the smiles, the laughter, the social media posts, and the “I’m fine” answers, there can be battles that no one else sees.
I’ve learned that sometimes the people who seem the strongest are carrying the heaviest things. And sometimes, a simple “How are you really doing?” can mean more than we will ever know.
If you’re struggling, please know this: you do not have to face it alone. Your life has value, even on the days when you can’t feel it yourself.
And if someone comes to mind while reading this, reach out to them. Send the text. Make the call. Sit beside them. You never know what that one small act of love might mean.
Check on your people. Listen. Love loudly. Stay. ❤️

How did we get here so fast? It feels like just yesterday I was tying your skates, and now you’re a senior defenseman, knocking people off the puck and making me wonder how you grew up when I wasn’t looking. 🥹🏒 Watching you grow from my little boy into the awesome young man you are has been one of the greatest joys of my life.
