A big THANK YOU to everyone who voted for my image in the calendar competition last week. I was out of state all week, but I learned my image won first place and will appear on the cover of the ABS dairy calendar for 2027, along with other prizes. I'm grateful to all those who took the time to help me out! 💕
My page has picked up some new followers recently, so I thought I'd introduce myself. For those of you who haven't had a session with me and don't know me personally, I'm Sarah, a coffee loving introvert and homebody. Photography is not my main job (and has taken me outside my comfort zone on so many levels). It's my very part-time creative outlet that has helped us fund more of our farm dreams a little bit at a time over the years. My main job is supporting my incredibly hard-working husband, Josiah, homeschooling our five children, and managing all things office related for our construction business and farm. We are blessed to be able to raise beef cattle that we direct market locally. The Lord has given us so much more than we could ever possibly deserve, and I'm thankful to each and every family who has trusted me with their memories over the years. One of the blessings of photography has been meeting people who have become special friends. And, as someone who absolutely loves children, my heart has been filled time and again with all the joy that comes with interacting with families at sessions and capturing their love for one another.
I've often been asked about my business name and why I chose it. It is a way for me to give credit to God, the Great Creator and Artist of all humans and this world, as I strive to showcase His beautiful creation through my work. We are made in His image according to Genesis 1:27. When I look through my camera, I'm always in awe at the beauty that God has created for us to enjoy. I am inspired by a gorgeous sunset, the way a child plays with their dad, snuggles with their mom, or laughs with their siblings, the incredible awe of a newborn baby, and the uniqueness of each family or high school senior that I'm blessed to work with! Through photography I get to showcase the beauty of my Savior, Jesus Christ. Children, families, sunsets...all a testament to the Great God that I love and serve. He gets all the glory and honor for anything beautiful you might see in one of my images. Thank you to all those who choose to follow along and be here on my page. I look forward to sharing the sessions I have planned for the rest of this year. 💗
