To the oldest member of my crew....
How do I sum up the young lady you have become? You’re a fierce defender and protector of your 4 siblings. You are a go getter that’s internally motivated and self-driven. You are the reason my Father’s Day became enjoyable again.
You have taken on so much and grown into a successful young lady. I see so much of myself in you that it’s scary sometimes.
You don’t call me ‘daddy’ as much as you call me ‘twin’ and maybe that’s for good reason; we are very much alike.
Happy Birthday to my oldest babygirl. I’ve loved you from the first sonogram picture until now and that won’t change. Continue being the virtuous woman that God has enabled you to be. I can’t wait to see what this new chapter has to offer.

How do I honor this woman right here without making it ALL about me?
I’m not sure. Fact is, she gives more than you know and constantly makes it about others.
She makes me strive to be a better version of myself. A better spouse, partner, father, friend, Christian, business owner, provider and more. She’s complex but yet, simple.
She’s loyal and faithful.
She’s an AWESOME mother, daughter, spouse, friend, confidant and Child of God.
Today, I honor my girl on her birthday.
I said it last year; don’t mess with my family and especially this girl right here.
I’ll fight you like my life depends on it.
She deserves the best and my goal is to help fulfill all of her earthly wishes.
Her eyes are on bigger prizes that only God can fulfill but my goal is to make our walk simpler, happier and more fulfilling.
Happy Birthday BB. My love for you grows by the day and I’m so glad to be doing this thing called life with you.

Today is my babygirl’s birthday. I remember you being so small, so quiet and so undemanding. Your older sister was just 11 months older than you and it’s like you knew that we had our hands full so you started doing things for yourself at an early age. It still feels like you did everything except changing your own diaper.
Now, you’ve grown into a beautiful young lady and all of the possibilities in this world lay at your feet. I love you beyond what any of my words can describe. We don’t always agree but that doesn’t matter.
I’m your father despite your worst mistakes and your during your greatest victories. Although I won’t get to physically see you today (Thank God for FaceTime), just remember that you’re always in my heart, my thoughts and my being.
Thanks for being who you are and don’t ever change. Keep God first and in ALL of your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.

Mother’s Day

This is my girl. My only girl.
She’s all mine and I’m hers. Today, I wish my girl a HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY. I’ll. Protect her, defend, commend her, fight for her, kick butt for her, do EVERYTHING for her.
Don’t mess with her or you’ll have me to deal with. Don’t mess with her mood because her mood affects her mood. If you don’t like her then you don’t like me. We are ONE!!!!
This is my girl, not yours. She’s not right for everyone but she’s PERFECT for me.

Well, she turned 40 TODAY.
