Tomorrow, at 8 am, check out my latest PBP YOUTUBE vlog- PURE ‘MAGIC’ which is about my most recent trip to Husavik, in North Iceland, to capture the elusive humpback whale, and my beautiful encounter with this gentle giant. For over an hour we interacted with a gorgeous humpback named Magic, and got to see why conservation has never been more important.

❄️ Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, Iceland 🇮🇸

Welcome to the breathtaking Jökulsárlón, Iceland’s most famous glacier lagoon! Formed by the retreat of the mighty Breiðamerkurjökull glacier, this stunning lagoon is filled with icebergs that break away from the glacier and slowly drift toward the Atlantic Ocean.

The lagoon reaches depths of over 800 feet (248 meters), making it Iceland’s deepest lake. Keep an eye out for seals swimming among the icebergs and seabirds soaring overhead.

Just across the road lies the famous Diamond Beach, where crystal-clear ice chunks wash ashore and sparkle like diamonds against the black volcanic sand.

WE SAW THE PUFFINS!
Island near Husavik
Hundreds of puffins live here, right off the coast of North Iceland near the whale capital of HUSAVIK
While this island is accessible via boat, we also saw a few at ‘CLIFF’S VIEWPOINT’ just east of Husavik close to 10 pm that evening too, coming in from a hard day’s work fishing.
