Yesterday was Anton Corbijn’s birthday, so I felt compelled to post some black & white images from our recent session with Dakota.

Anton’s work has influenced me for years — not just visually, but emotionally. There’s an honesty and atmosphere in his images that always stayed with me. Imperfect in all the right ways. Grainy. Shadowy. Quiet. Human.

Black & white photography strips things down to expression, light, texture, and mood. Without color competing for attention, emotion tends to come through a little louder. Sometimes a monochrome finish feels less like a “style choice” and more like the way an image was always meant to exist.

These images were created with that spirit in mind. Moody, cinematic, a little raw, and centered more around feeling than perfection.

There are many reasons to be thankful for in 2025: my wife, our kids, the places we went to, the things we did. And of course, our clients.

But the one moment I cherish most was when performed Hide & Seek with at in Utah and I got this shot of Howard and Brandon smiling admiringly at each other. It means the world to me.

It’s been a dream in the works for a long time, and we can’t wait to welcome local athletes, high school seniors, professionals, families, and their pets into the new space once it’s ready!

"Harbor Sunset & Twilight Garden" - This Spotlight Session begins during golden hour on our private Port Jefferson Harbor beach, then transitions to our Sunset Rock Garden — glowing with string lights as twilight sets in.

"Magic in the Garden" - This Spotlight Session takes place in our Sunset Rock Garden — where stone steps lead the way, string lights and giant rustic marquee numbers flicker to life, and the evening air feels just right. In just 15–20 minutes, we’ll create something timeless and quietly cinematic.
