When preserving childhood and family memories through photography, my favorite part is building authentic connections. Keeping sessions relaxed and child-led allows for genuine joy, curiosity, silliness and personality to shine through 🥹

Some of my favorite portraits from this session actually weren’t even posed at all, but instead were moments the kids naturally wandered into, and I recognized them before they disappeared. They happened because I followed their lead, meeting them where they were, letting them explore, and capturing the moments they naturally created.

Lexie & Jason’s story began with a conversation at a Fourth of July house party and continued through long distance calls, Portland adventures, Broadway shows, and eventually, a proposal overlooking the NYC skyline.

What began with laughs, a hug goodbye, and exchanged phone numbers slowly grew through college years, changing schedules, weekends away, wineries, late night FaceTimes, and always making time for each other no matter the distance 🤍
