my main goal as a photographer has always been to provide families with photos they can cherish for years and years to come. but just as important as preserving those memories is making sure the families who trust me to capture them feel safe doing so.
The 7” Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that possessing Al-generated CSAM depicting
‘fictional’ children can be constitutionally protected. Al photos train off of public images. since the photos i post here are available to the public i will be lessening exposure of children on my page as well as making all galleries that include minors only accessible by password.
as a mom to a baby girl, this has become especially close to my heart. i think about the kind of world i want her to grow up in, and i want to do everything within my control to protect her and every child i have the privilege of photographing.
i never want a family to wonder whether sharing their child’s image could put them at risk. their safety will always matter more to me than a post, a portfolio, or growing my business.
i’ll still be capturing all of the sweet, genuine moments that make childhood so special. i’ll just be doing so with an extra layer of care and protection for the little ones in front of my camera. 🤍
