This family holds a special place in my heart. Renita was my hair stylist for a few years and the first person I photographed outside my family. She encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and pursue photography. I’ll always be grateful for her kindness.

I think their session really reflected their family nickname “The Crazy Bunch” I mean, it’s hard not to resist playing in a big pile of leaves! It was somewhat of a chilling day, and they were all troopers. Luckily, we got our session in just before the downpour of rain – that’s Washington for you!

This is the type of photo shoot I love to do! Hanging out with awesome people, walking around a beautiful location at the perfect time of day, taking photos along the way. Throw in some music, and you have a recipe for lots of laughter and really great photos.

Just finished up this gallery for the beautiful Gaines family. Another great session on the Clear Creek Trail – awesome weather, and cute little girls in cowboy boots. What could be better!

Movement in photos is one of my favorite things to capture. Of course, having a few photos where everyone is looking at the camera is good, but the photos you’ll really love as time passes are the ones where you’re engaged with the people or environment around you. Simply put, the emotion in a photo is what gives you all the feels!

When was the last time you had extended family photos taken? Not just selfies, or a quick phone pic – a whole gallery of photos where everyone is in the picture. I was probably around eight years old the last time I had all my cousins together for a family portrait.

Over the years, family moves and they start families of their own. Before you know it, everyone is spread out across the country, living in different states.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of taking photos of the Jones family - Grandma and Grandpa all the Grandkids! We met up in Hansville, WA at the Point No Point Lighthouse for a sunset session on the beach. They were a great group to photograph. Anyone willing to do jumping shots is okay in my book!

Umm, now I’m thinking my family needs to start planning a reunion and schedule a day just for pictures!

Well this was a fun one!

I photographed the Barnett family a few weeks ago at the Clear Creek Trail in Silverdale. I'm happy the trail has finally reopened, it was under construction to restore the floodplains throughout the area to hopefully bring back the natural habit and salmon population. We walked the trail, played music along the way, and found lots of awesome photo opp spots.

We originally intended this to be a senior shoot for Brittnee and Shelby, but we were able to fit in a few fun family photos as well. They’re a pretty special family with really big hearts, and I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to photograph them.

Congratulations to Brittnee and Shelby on their upcoming high school graduation! You girls are so sweet and kind, and bring laughter to any occasion. I know you’re going to do wonderful things in the years to come.

Great senior session last weekend! I met up with Jerald, a senior at North Kitsap High School, his mom Jennifer and sister Sophia, at Kitsap Memorial Park in Poulsbo.

Jerald plans to attend the College of Engineering at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA majoring in civil engineering. In just the short time I spent with him, I have a feeling his going to do awesome!

Thank you for the opportunity, I enjoyed hanging out with guys! Congratulations and good luck, Jerald!
