Amani Kojo after his Soul Soirée™️ monologue

clearly still having some hiccups with the rb, but i’m really in love with the process right now. i like this photo specifically because it reminds me of a cyanotype (i deeply miss making cyanotypes). tdlr is my rotating back is a little sticky so im guessing this was a light leak/ double exposure happy accident while trying to rotate from landscape to portrait.

i had a bunch of fun making this cover for Dalton Grant | 1/2 of The Elements and Mr.Money.Over.Everything ! coming from someone who used to shoot concerts damn near every weekend and dreams of doing it full time, anytime i get to be in the music atmosphere again…im LOCKED IN!

my favorite song off the EP right now is imma show you! it’s always so crazy to me when my work is on streaming platforms! very grateful for this opportunity! go run this ep up!

not gonna lie, it’s hard as f**k to rack focus on an rb for a self portrait with just a lightstand.

i think this photo being slightly out of focus unironically represents a time in my life right now where im focusing back on things that make me happy, fill me with that burning desire to make more work, and to not take everything so seriously. just living life. photos, friends, outings, sidequests, being intentional, being spontaneous, being a frickin artist. very happy to be back to my regularly scheduled program! the artistry is in my blood and i literally can’t ignore what feeds my soul!

if you read this whole thing, i need new faces to shoot on film! friends and strangers, let’s do something ⭐️

puerto rican day parade, 2026

two weeks ago, i had the BRILLIANT idea to bring my rb to the puerto rican day parade…yeah. it seems like i’ve developed a habit where i bring my absolute brick of a camera into insanely crowded spaces.

this was my third (i think?) year going, but my first time bringing a camera. as always, the energy was incredible, the community showed out, and i managed to get a few shots off in the middle of it all.

till next year…i need to go back to pr BADLY

knicks championship parade, june 2026

today was a COMPLETE sidequest. that “parade” was no joke…quotes because i didn’t even get to see the damn parade. for me, the energy and experience down there was a once in a lifetime experience that i’d never trade. us new yorkers came together to celebrate the knicks winning a chip for the city, but also, celebrating new york and all it’s offered us through our lives. it was truly a beautiful moment even if it was ridiculously chaotic.

very simple photo. nothing crazy.

i’ve been falling in love with photography again! i got my rb67 fixed and ive been obsessed ever since! honestly, i prefer film over digital since that’s basically how i learned how to shoot. there’s something about the tactility of the analog process that makes me feel so much more connected to my photo process than digital does.

something im trying to do is NOT let social media dictate the worth of my work or when i post. i really miss when instagram just came out and was strictly for photo. now we gotta worry about posting times, the algorithm, blah blah blah. i don’t care anymore. i’m just making work i like, posting it, and talking my talk in my lil captions. we’re so back to having fun.

picnic

sometimes life gets so hyper focused on work, that you forget about the small things that really matter.

building with my talented homies has been really rewarding. it’s not every day you get to build something with your friends. i like this photo because in this moment, i got to put all the business/magazine building logistic crap to the side and realize wow i’m really just out here with my homies making something out of nothing for “sh*ts and giggles”…i mean very serious business.
