Photography by Rosemary Brooks Serious hobbyist meets hopeless romantic and finds beauty through the camera's lens. The Canon 70D and 400mm f/5.6 are my standard for most wildlife photos.

As a child in western New York, I grew up without financial stability or material possessions, but my mother taught me the value of admiring the simple beauty of nature. A resident of Texas for the past 35 years, I have followed nature's path, reveling in its wildlife, landscapes and culture. Most photos on this page are traditional depictions of nature, but occasionally you will see composites of

photos or metal as a medium to create a more artistic expression. High Island, Bolivar Flats, Surfside, The Houston Arboretum and Nature Center, and Houston area parks are the locations for most of the photography presented on this page.
