The Western Fence Lizard.
Commonly mistaken for a Side-Blotched Lizard because of the similarities. However, Fence lizards have larger, more pointed scales on their back and blue coloration on the underbelly. Thank you to Greg Pauly from the National History Museum for the definitive observation on the species.

Female Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly 🦋 You can’t really tell in these specific photos but females have a blue tint on the bottom of their wings and males don’t. They usually flutter around higher up in treetops but you can sometimes spot them getting nectar from flowers during spring and falls seasons 🙂 . .
