📸 Capturing Memories, One Photo at a Time!

Here are two of my favorite people in the world! Not only are they incredible friends, but they also lead their family with love and integrity. 💛 They asked me to take photos of their family, and even though I was feeling a bit rusty (it’s been a while since I’ve done family photos), I said yes. And I’m SO glad I did.

This experience reminded me how much I love using my skills to serve others. It sparked a passion I’ve been missing, and I want to do more of it! So here’s an opportunity you won’t want to miss:

You can see the smoke rolling in through the morning light from the wildfires on the east end of the park.

The fire rerouted us with a 5 hour detour. It was a long two day drive and we have made it safely to our destination.

Photo of the Day:
One of my goals with our trip is to take beautiful and memorable photographs. When we put Arches National Park on our journey map, I envisioned taking a beautiful photo of Delicate Arch. The only way you can do this is if you get up really early in the morning and take the photo near sunrise. We did get up early this morning. But we didn't make it to the arch before sunrise. I think I like this even better than a sunrise photo.
I'm sure professional landscape photographers can critique this, but I am pleased.

Journal Entry - April 18, 2024

We left the Silos at Canyon RV Park in Canyon, TX this morning about 9:10. Not is it windy 💨! We are having winds above 20 miles per hour. Yesterday when we were hiking in Palo Duro Canyon, we had temps above 90 and now even though the temps are in the 50’s, it’s freezing! My hands were getting numb when prepping the RV for the road. I had to run in and get my stocking cap and gloves to finish the job.

We’re in the road now. Carlsbad, NM is our next stop. We’ll have to take it easy with these winds. The GPS tells us it will take 4 1/2 hours to get there. Let’s see how long it take with the winds.
