The fall booking schedule is filling in fast!

If you have booked your class of 2025 senior with me and have not selected their date for their photo session, here is an updated look at the availability.

I will be opening up some dates to a few families that have requested fall family photos, so please get your seniors on the calendar ASAP!

Please check your emails! All emails have been sent out to class of 2025 seniors.

My busy fall season is getting ready to kick in and I will be in need of an assistant to help out at photoshoots!

This is a seasonal position for a quick learner and will mostly be assisting with lighting and pulling the wagon of gear.

Week day evenings and most weekend evenings as needed.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Popping on to let you know that everyone who has booked their class of 2025 senior for a senior session should have received an email from me about selecting their session date.

Please check your emails and let me know if you did not receive one!

On the topic of scheduling...flexibility is key to making this easy and fun! It's a busy season so I block out most of my weekdays and weekends for photo sessions with the exception of a few personal dates.

*Weekends go fast.

*Weekday evenings work great with seniors that have abbreviated schedules and no after school activities (ie. team sports)

*fall colors typically peak within the last couple weeks of October and into the first week of November give or take a few days. (weather permitting of course) If we continue to have a dry season and not alot of rain, the colors will be more brown. So start doing your rain dances so we get some pretty colors.

* if you opt for spring a spring session, I only reserve a certain amount of sessions during this time. Spring is a short shooting season. Between rainy days and blooming trees, there are only a certain amount of nice mild pretty green days available before the end of the school year.

I love my senior clients.

I honestly have so much fun planning and photographing these creative, fun, beautiful people. They give me so much joy and are the reason I love my job so much. I love getting to know them, their families and hearing about all their future plans.

So when I get a text from the mom of one of those seniors from several years ago, telling me that she got engaged, and wondering if I would take her and her new fiancee's engagement photos, I didn't flinch.

I'm so excited! ❤

A huge congratulations to Megan and Rian on their engagement!!

Happy Saturday everyone!

I'm back from vacation and jumping right back into things!

Super excited for the next senior session I have on Monday! Anabelle is coming down from upstate NY and we are hitting a cool bookstore (location announcement coming soon) and then finishing up at BlackRock Center for the Arts! I'm sooo looking forward to using these 2 new location ideas!

Then later in the week, I have a mini session with a sweet family before their son heads off for his first year of college!

And exciting news development… while I was sitting on the dock at the lake this past week, I received a text from a mom of one of my past years seniors and she shared the news that her daughter got engaged! So today, I had a chat with her and we picked a date for her engagement photos! I love that I got to photograph her for her senior year and now I get to photograph her and her fiancé for their engagement! 🥰

ALSO..

Class of 2025 ... Now that most sport schedules are out and most of us have gone on our summer vacations, I will be sending out emails next week for late summer and fall senior session date selections! So, if you have not booked your senior yet, time is winding down fast to get them in! I only have a couple spots left!

It's that time of year…and the season is off and rolling! 📸

It's almost time to select dates for our class of 2025 senior sessions!

I'm taking a little vaca before things start to get busy again so while I'm away… below are a few things you can do and think of to prepare for your session!!

1. Decide on what season you'd like to have your photo taken. Fall and Spring are the 2 most popular options. Do you want lots of fall color and a fresh tan from summer…or are you more flowers and cooler temps? Be sure to consider weather in your selections. But don't rule out winter! If you are a winter kiddo..we can find snow!

2. Do you play sports or participate in after school activities? Make sure you check any game schedules that are coming out to plan around those. Weekends book up FAST. So when deciding on a date..make sure it's one that you can stick with and not have to reschedule or you may run into having to take what's left and missing out on practices or games. (sorry coaches)

3. location location location! This is a big one! Make sure you are selecting a location that suits you! If you are more urban..pick an urban location. if you are more country, we've got plenty of that around here! Or …my favorite...get creative. Think outside the box. Pick a place that compliments who you are and feels more personal. Need some ideas…oh I've got plenty! Just ask!

4. outfit selections. You are welcome to bring up to 3 outfit changes. Here are my pointers..mix it up ( something nice, something fun, something casual). make it you. layers are fun. try to keep the prints at a minimum. don't forget to factor in shoes and accessories. hats and sunglasses are cool. PARENTS…I suggest that one of the outfits coordinates with your home style. If you plan on hanging photos of your senior on the wall (which you definitely should!) you don't want them wearing yellow and green if your house style is coastal blues and beiges. ;)

5. be creative. if you are a girl and love shoes…bring a bunch of them, if you love make up..bring it, if you are a guy and play guitar, bring it, if you are love books, bring 'em, are you artsy? bring all the artsy things, love golf, I know a golf course closeby…my point it. this is a time when you get to show off who you are. Let's show it off.

7. start a Pinterest board with ideas that you can share with me to help me plan your one of a kind session.

Happy Thursday everyone!

I will be heading to a destination shoot for the weekend, so the studio will be closed beginning tonight at 5pm through Sunday, July 21st

I'll be back in Monday, July 22nd for office appt.'s.

The studio will then be closed beginning Thursday, July 25th through Sunday, August 4th, so I can get in some much needed family time before my kids head back to school.

I'll be unplugging a bit, so emails and any work related text messaging will be responded to outside of those dates.

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer! I'm looking forward to relaxing and recharging a bit!
