Moments like this make me stop and think.

Growing up, I never imagined photography would become my profession. I definitely never imagined it would take me to incredible events or give me the opportunity to create for brands recognized around the world.

I had my own idea of how my life would go, but sometimes God has a different plan (and a better one). This journey hasn’t always been easy. There have been long days, slow seasons, moments of insecurity, and times when I wondered if I had waited too long to start. But every step, including the difficult ones, has led me here.

I’m incredibly grateful for this profession, for everyone who has trusted my vision, and for every opportunity that has come my way. I don’t take any of it for granted - not the grind, the growth, the setbacks, or the wins.

The kid I used to be never saw this coming. I think he would be proud. And the best part is, I’m only getting started 🫡

Some frames from the 2026 Cecil Summer Classic. Grateful for the opportunity to work with Nike Running and 1st Place Sports Running - One of the best parts of my photography journey has been stepping into new environments and finding new ways to capture movement, emotion, and the energy of competition. Covering cross country was a new and incredible experience for me.

(Cross country is one of the rawest sports there is, and it’s one of the rawest sports I’ve gotten to capture so far after Ironman) Once the race begins, it’s 100% on you: your preparation, your discipline, and how deeply you’re willing to dig when your body tells you to slow down.

This one definitely challenged me creatively and made me want to keep growing in sports.

As I continue growing Jacksonville Commercial Photographer I’ve been intentionally moving deeper into sports, fitness, and wellness photography (spaces that are already a big part of who I am).

Getting the opportunity to work with HOKA and photograph the Clifton PRO demo with 1st Place Sports Running felt like another step in that journey. It gave me the chance to document a global running brand, the energy of Jacksonville’s running community, and the kind of movement-driven storytelling I want my work to be known for.

Every opportunity like this reminds me that the vision is becoming real.

Some boards start with a blank and a set of dimensions. This one started with conversations, ideas, and a lot of sketches.

After talking with a couple of friends on the COS team and eventually sitting down with Tony, Abby landed on the Devo III at 6’4”. Coming down from a mid-length egg, the goal was to keep enough float and paddle while giving her more performance and versatility. The board can be ridden as either a single fin or a twin.

Then came the part that really made it hers.

Abby pulled inspiration from vintage surfboards, old cars, motorcycles, flames and traditional pinstriping. After sketching different ideas and playing with color combinations, the red and brown came together (including sending the brown back once to get it a little darker). Tony then took those ideas into the shaping room and finished it off with the pinstriping on the bottom.

I got the chance to photograph the finished board and document all the little details that make a custom board feel personal. Definitely one of those projects where the story behind it is just as cool as the final product.

I’m Kendrick, a self-taught photographer from Caracas, Venezuela, now based in Florida.

Photography started as a passion and a hobby, and over time it grew into the work I love doing today. I focus on fitness, wellness, hospitality, and brand storytelling, helping businesses and individuals bring their vision to life through authentic imagery.

My goal is simple: create photos that feel real, connect with people, and make brands stand out.

I’ll be sharing recent work, behind-the-scenes moments, and the collaborations along the way.

When I started joining these community runs, I had no idea how much it would grow on me. I’ve met some of the most supportive people, and found another place besides the surf community where I truly belong.

What started as simply showing up for a run has turned into building meaningful relationships with people who motivate me to keep showing up, keep improving, and keep pushing myself further. This community has inspired me not only as a runner, but as a person. Encouraging me to be more creative, more consistent, and more intentional in everything I do.

Grateful for every conversation, every shared mile, and every connection along the way.. I can’t wait to see what’s next!
