The winter of 2026 has been on my heart for years 🤍 This December, we’re finally heading to Munich and Austria to experience the Christmas markets as a family.
Years ago, when I was a flight attendant, I was unexpectedly called in to work a flight to Germany. After we landed, my crew and I went searching for something to eat. Then I turned a corner and completely stopped in my tracks.
The streets were glowing with lights, wooden market stalls, handmade gifts, warm pastries, roasted nuts, and foods I had never seen or tasted before. It felt like walking into a Christmas movie.
I remember thinking, One day, I want my children to experience this.
Well, that day is finally here.
As we plan this trip, I’m looking for all of your recommendations. Hidden gems, restaurants, cafés, Christmas markets, bakeries, scenic spots, family-friendly activities, day trips, local traditions, and anything you think we shouldn’t miss. I want to experience these places like a local, not just as a tourist.
I’ve shared our itinerary, where we’re staying, what we’re still planning, and all the details over on my blog. I’d love for you to read it and leave your recommendations there or send me a DM.
Also, if you live in Munich, Salzburg, Vienna, or anywhere along our route and you’re a female business owner, I’d love to connect. One of my favorite things about traveling is meeting other women in business from around the world. If our schedules line up, let’s grab a coffee or a drink!
I can’t wait to share this adventure with you. 🤍
