Hi Yall,
I have been a bit quiet recently due to personal family matters, and I appreciate your patience during that time. I wanted to take a moment to share an important message regarding my business.
Like many small business owners, I have faced significant challenges over the past year and have thoughtfully considered how to move forward in the current economic climate. Photography is not only my profession, but also the primary means of supporting my children, and I take my work — and my client relationships — very seriously.
I am incredibly grateful for my loyal, returning clients who continue to support my business. Many of you have trusted me for years, and that support has meant more to me than I can express.
That said, I want to be very clear about expectations moving forward.
If a client’s intent is to book a session with the purpose of later disputing valid charges or filing chargebacks after services and images have been fully delivered, please do not book with me. This behavior is unacceptable and deeply harmful to small businesses, not to mention a single Mother just trying to stay afloat.
I consistently go above and beyond for my clients — often spending additional time during sessions at no extra cost to ensure quality results, especially when working with children. Once images are selected, edited, and delivered, the service has been completed in full. Filing a chargeback under the claim that services were not received, despite full delivery, is a misuse of the dispute process and has serious financial consequences.
I occasionally offer pay-what-you-can sessions or reduced-cost mini sessions for families experiencing financial hardship, particularly single parents. These sessions are carefully planned and extended in good faith. Unfortunately, repeated misuse of these options has made it increasingly difficult to continue offering them. I will be soon posting a date for discounted minis in an effort to make up for the fraudulent disputes I’m currently having to address.
I strongly believe that everyone deserves meaningful photos with their children, and I remain committed to serving families with honesty, fairness, and care. However, continued instances of dishonesty and fraudulent disputes threaten the ability for this business to continue operating.
