There’s just something incredible about watching a killer whale spy hop in the wild. Curious, intelligent, and one of those moments on the water I never take for granted!

I didn’t need a long lens for this moment! One of my favorite days I’ve ever spent on the water in Monterey Bay.

We spent several unforgettable hours with a group of about 25 incredibly active feeding humpback whales. They were using the boat to help push bait to the surface and were surfacing just feet away from us again and again!

It’s a day I’ll never forget.

As an important note, during this interaction the whales came to us, and the boat remained in neutral the entire time
