This summer will go down in my books for the some of the best sunsets ever. Cotton candy skies for days! I had so much fun with this family, can’t even tell yall (see next post)! They even have a teenage boy who ASKED to do some photos by himself! 😱

I just really REALLY love this. The perfection of this sunset for this bride + groom, the peace & serenity it seemed to instill on the first day of their very own forever . . chef’s kiss. 🤌🏼

Sunset portraits are always my favorite part of a wedding. It’s their first real opportunity for a deep breath, to allow all of the noise of the busy day to just dissipate for a few moments, to really focus on each other.

Beautiful is this lovely bride + groom in one of the most stunning places in North Carolina . . but truly special was knowing you were documenting this incredible day for one of your nearest and dearest from college.

Would you just LOOK at this couple with this VIEW?! You all know my typical setting is a lot more flat and a lot more beachy coming from the Eastern Shore but these mountain views were simply breathtaking. A piece of my heart was certainly left here.

I loved the privacy and the intimacy this vineyard offered. For their bride + groom portraits, they had the entire place to themselves. It was so peaceful + serene out here, and I couldn’t help but think of how perfect it was to kick off their marriage.

My favorite image from today’s Pony Swim! 🐴☀️🌊 I don’t know how you spent your Wednesday, but I have to say, mine was pretty amazing. Beautiful weather, great company, core memory-making. Sharing traditions with our kids (and my husband, an Eastern Shore native who somehow never once experienced anything Pony Penning until this week 😱) that shed a little light on the way we were brought up in the most beautiful part of the world just felt really special.

I teared up Monday morning, I did it again today once they hit the water, and I’ll do it again tomorrow when dreams come true for some really special folks at the auction.

What a cool freakin’ place we come from, yall.
