Client spotlight: Liddil Paving LLC
Not every project starts with laying new asphalt. Sometimes it starts by removing the old surface completely and rebuilding from the ground up.

Liddil Paving LLC was out at the Bannock County Courthouse removing the old parking lot down to the gravel and preparing it for replacement. For this project, their crew used a Wirtgen W 120 FTi cold milling machine, powered by a 355-horsepower engine, to grind and remove the existing asphalt with precision and efficiency.

Projects like this take the right equipment, skilled operators, and an experienced crew that understands how to prepare a solid foundation before new asphalt goes down. Liddil Paving has been serving Southeast Idaho since 1997, providing professional asphalt paving, parking lot construction, asphalt removal, and paving services throughout the region.

One of my favorite things about filming construction is showing the people and the process behind the finished product. Sometimes a single moment happens so fast that you miss just how intense it really was.
I put together this sequence of 43 still images from one bull ride at the PRCA Rodeo, and together they tell a story that unfolds frame by frame. Seeing the action slowed down gives you a whole new perspective on what these athletes experience in just a few seconds.

You can feel the power of the bull, the determination of the rider, and the chaos that erupts when the ride comes to an end. Every image captures another piece of the story.

What stood out to me most was watching the rodeo clowns do what they do best. These talented and incredibly brave individuals put themselves between a rider and a very angry bull without hesitation. Their athleticism, awareness, and courage are nothing short of amazing. In one of the images you can see one of the rodeo clowns actually grab the head of the bull and look him straight in the eyes. That's what No Fear looks like.....

These 43 images tell a story that would be easy to miss in real time. Take a moment to watch it unfold and appreciate the skill, grit, and bravery that make rodeo one of the most exciting sports to watch and photograph.

50 years ago today, the Teton River Valley changed forever.

At 11:57 AM on June 5, 1976, the Teton Dam failed after being filled for only about eight months. Standing more than 300 feet tall, the dam held back a reservoir stretching nearly 17 miles long and reaching almost 270 feet deep at the dam itself. Investigations later found the failure was caused by a combination of design, geological, and foundation problems that allowed water to erode the dam from within. Today, what remains is more than concrete, dirt, and a scar across the landscape. It is a reminder of history. A reminder of resilience.
Eleven people lost their lives that day, and countless others saw their lives changed forever. Communities mourned together, rebuilt together, and slowly moved forward. Communities throughout the Teton River Valley and Southeast Idaho adapted and persevered.

Fifty years later, the remains of the Teton Dam still tell one incredible story.

First time seeing the Teton Dam site in person… and wow.
With the 50-year anniversary of the Teto Dam failure is coming up June 5th. Check out this FPV drones footage flying down what remains of the dam. This view really puts into perspective just how massive this event was. If you haven’t visited in a while, the new parking area and the Collapsed Teton Dam Overlook are awesome and definitely worth checking out.

There’s something about watching construction time-lapse videos, especially watching concrete being poured at high speed. When it’s being pumped in with a pump truck like this, it almost starts looking like a giant 3D printer.

This time-lapse shows AG Concrete LLC pouring and finishing another residential basement floor here in the Pocatello area. As third-generation concrete finishers, their family has been pouring concrete in the area for generations, bringing experience and precision to both residential and commercial projects.
