Everyone starts somewhere.

This is 16 years of learning, experimenting, second guessing, growing, and figuring things out as I went.

Some of these photos make me proud…and some of them make me laugh a little 😅

But every single one played a part in getting me to where I am now.

Growth doesn’t happen all at once - it’s built slowly over time.

As a person, as an artist, and as a business. ✨💕

no makeup, hairs a mess, but I just HAD to show you all this. To say that I’m obsessed, is an understatement.

What do you guys think about this new wall art product? Do you see the value I see?! 🤯😍

A little glimpse into what my days look like lately.

Not always perfectly balanced…but something I’m really grateful for.

The “everyone smiling at the camera” photo is nice…

but it’s not always the one that means the most.

One of the biggest differences between a portrait session and a traditional school photo is the chance for a child’s personality to really come through.

School portraits usually happen quickly. Children sit for a moment, smile for the camera, and the photo is taken.

During a portrait session, there’s a little more space for kids to simply be themselves.

They can move, explore, talk about their favorite things, and sometimes even bring along something they love - like this little guy and his favorite toy truck.

Those moments often reveal the expressions and personality that parents recognize immediately as their child.

And years from now, those small details (the favorite toy, the way they played, the way they smiled) often become some of the most meaningful parts of the photograph.

Maternity sessions always feel like the quiet moment before everything changes.

The anticipation.

The excitement.

The “we have no idea what life is about to look like” stage.
It’s a beautiful chapter to document.

Some of the most meaningful photographs are the ones that include multiple generations.

Grandparents, parents, and grandchildren all together.

Those portraits often become family keepsakes.

A quick thought for couples today.

Portraits aren’t only for families with children. They can also be a beautiful way to capture the stage of life you’re in together right now.

The years after the wedding…
the home you’ve built…
the routines and little traditions that make your life yours.

When was the last time you had photos taken together that weren’t at a wedding?

How often should families update their photos?

It's something many parents wonder about.

Some families wait until big life events happen: a new baby, a move, or a milestone birthday.

Others choose a simpler tradition.
One portrait each year.

Over time those photos quietly tell the story of childhood changing.
I wrote a blog post sharing some thoughts on how often families update their photos and why those small moments become meaningful later.

A question for parents today.

If you could freeze one stage of childhood for just a little longer…
What age would it be?

For many parents it's:
• toddler years
• the preschool stage
• those early elementary years when personalities really start showing

Childhood changes quickly, which is one of the reasons family photos become so meaningful later.

What stage would you freeze?
