Hi all, a week ago, I posted that I was going to create a daily photo journal about our girl Gabbi's pregnancy and the upcoming birth of her puppies with her boy-toy Rapheille.
Unfortunately, she developed complications and needed emergency surgery. Sadly, none of the puppies survived, and she had to be spayed. The beautiful puppies that we had all been anticipating will never be. If you are a fan or know us, then you know about our affinity for our dogs and specifically our rottweillers
If you use frontline and flea treatments similar to it, please do so with caution. It didn't come to my attention until today that one of the warnings on the label is that it can cause problems with breeding. This would answer a lot of questions about why she couldn't get pregnant and about a false pregnancy. There are natural alternatives to the pesticides we put on our pets and ourselves.
If you know me, I don't need to say anything else. If not, I'm not a new age, croc wearing "person."
All I'm saying is to look for an alternative. At the very minimum, take your pet off of frontline at least 6 months before breeding. Bye for now Douglas
