It’s the little things you think you’ll remember forever.

How tiny they felt in your arms. Those little fingers wrapped around yours.

The baby rolls. The sleepy smiles. The way they fit so perfectly against your chest.🥹

But as they grow, some of those details start to become a little harder to remember.

And one day, the photos will be what takes you back.

Back to how small they really were.
Back to the season when they needed you for everything.
Back to a version of your baby you’d give anything to hold one more time.

Mama, take the photos. Get in them, too.

These little moments may feel ordinary right now, but one day, they’ll mean everything. 🤍

We tend to think we need a reason to take family photos.

A birthday. A holiday. A new baby. A big milestone. But what about just because this is your family right now?

Because your youngest still wants to be carried.
Because your oldest is starting to look a little more grown.
Because everyone is under the same roof, life is full, and these are the people you get to come home to every day.

That feels like reason enough to me. 🤍
You don’t need a milestone to celebrate the people who mean the most.

I hope your kids remember the big things….

The vacations. The birthdays. The Christmas mornings.

But I also hope they remember Saturday pancakes. Dancing in the kitchen. Running barefoot outside. Cuddling on the couch and laughing until someone’s belly hurt.

Because a childhood isn’t made from a handful of big moments.

It’s made from thousands of little ones.
So take the trip. Stay outside a little longer. Get in the photo. Let them make the mess.

A little calendar update because you guys have been keeping me BUSY. 🥹🤍

My calendar for the remainder of the year is filling up, and availability is officially becoming very LIMITED.

Between family sessions, milestones, minis, and all the sweet moments already on my calendar, there are only so many dates left to give each of my families the experience they deserve.

So if you’ve been saying…

“We need updated family photos.”
“I want to capture this stage of the baby.”
“I need to get something on the calendar before the holidays.”

This is your nudge to reach out.

Mama, how many photos are sitting on your phone right now of your babies?

Probably thousands… And how many of those have you in them?

You are such a big part of the story you’re documenting.
You’re the arms they run to. The person behind so many of their favorite memories. The one creating the traditions and making the ordinary days feel like home.
Your children deserve photos of all of you together.

And years from now, I have a feeling those will be some of the ones that mean the most. 🤍

So hand someone else the camera every once in a while.
You belong in the memories, too.

There’s something special about the people who know every version of you.

The ones who have seen the messy mornings, the belly laughs, the hard days, the celebrations, and all the ordinary moments in between.

That’s family.

It’s not always picture perfect. It’s loud, busy, beautiful, and completely yours.

And when I photograph a family, that’s what I want you to see when you look back.

Not whether everyone smiled perfectly at the camera.

I want you to see how your little one reached for your hand. How your husband looked at you. How your babies fit into your arms.

The people beside you are what make this season home. 🤍

There’s such a short window where they’re this little.

Where their hand wraps around one of your fingers.
Where they fit perfectly against your chest.
Where they reach for you because, to them, you are home.

When you’re in the middle of the feedings, naps, laundry, and long days, it doesn’t always feel like a short season.

But then the onesies get packed away…

The baby rolls disappear. They start crawling, then walking, then suddenly you’re wondering where your tiny baby went.

Mama, they’re only little for a season.🥹

Take the photos. Get in them, too. Let yourself remember what it looked like and what it felt like to love them when they were this small. 🤍
