Bird from South Dakota - Western Meadowlark, a beautiful song bird you can see almost everywhere in the Great Plains of endless grass prairie. We had a two-week road trip in South Dakota. We visited some most beautiful part of the state including Mtn. Rushmore National Memorial, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park, and finally, Badlands National Park. I took a ton of pictures, both bird/wildlife and landscape. I am going to post some of them in a series of posts. Here is the first one with the bird.

I don't pay much attention to squirrels normally and so rarely take photos of them. However, in a recent morning walk in our neighborhood, many of this little creature seemed eager to pose to me for a portrait shot. So I just did that for them and here you go, portraits of a few of these cute little guys/gals.
