My name is Mariana, and I married the love of my life, Igor, on August 8, 2025 in my hometown Ukraine, it was the happiest day of my life. Now, only a few months later, my beloved husband is being sent to the very a dangerious combat zone. He is bravely serving his country overseas in Ukraine, while I live and work in America because of the war.
I’m trying to raise enough funds for a round-trip ticket and a short stay with him, just a few precious weeks together, hopefully one full month, before he’s deployed to dangerous territory. We dream of having children and building a family, but now every moment apart feels unbearable.
Many nights, I cry myself to sleep praying for his safety, asking God to protect him and our future. I just want the chance to hold him in my arms, to see his face, and to tell him how much I love him before everything becomes uncertain.
Igor is a courageous soldier, and I’m endlessly proud of his strength and sacrifice.
