Hey friends,

I have gotten about a half dozen requests for pricing for my photos. At the moment, most of the photos I am posting are for people who have gift certificates that expire at the end of 2025 and they're redeeming them. Any others that have been paid sessions have paid $350 for their session and their photos.

I have gotten a lot of "no" responses to my pricing. That's totally fine, and I'm in no way bothered or upset about it. But let me explain why my pricing is what it is.

Last year I edited and delivered over 15,000 photos. By January this year, I was so burnt out, I never wanted to take another photo again, and I haven't in 10 months. Here's the thing, I don't want to take photos when it feels like a job. If it's not fun to me, it's not worth it. I know my photos are beautiful, and I don't say that out of arrogance; I've worked incredibly hard to learn how to take and edit beautiful photos. It's taken a lot of time, effort, and honestly, tears to get to where I am with it. So maybe my pricing isn't in the budget, that's okay! But my pricing is what I'm worth and what makes doing this worth it to me.

I watch through the lens as they huddle together, their laughter echoing in the quiet of the morning. The chill in the air doesn’t seem to faze them; they’re wrapped in each other’s warmth, their smiles wide and eyes sparkling despite the cold. I adjust the camera, framing them against the golden light filtering through the trees, the colors of autumn turning the backdrop into a painting. Their breath fogs in the air with each laugh, adding a layer of softness to the shot, as if the season itself is part of the moment. I click the shutter, knowing these simple, fleeting moments will become cherished memories—captured forever in a photograph. 🍂🧡🤎
