Almost 9 years ago, I got this inquiry from a couple who was getting married at Carnegie Museum with their reception at Ace Hotel ▪️R.I.P. Ace▪️. It was earlier on in my career and I remember being so excited that I booked this wedding, yet SO nervous. I didn’t know what to expect for it. I did know it was going to be really cool because I got to work with greensinner for the first time and Devoted To You | Melissa and they were cookin’ up something extra unique. Absolute dream team stuff. It ended up going perfectly and it is still in my top 5 weddings to this day.

Fast forward 9 years and here we are back in the same place taking photos with their little addition. It was so much fun meeting back up after all that time and capturing them where they are now. We got to use some of the same spots in the Carnegie Museum of Art and re-created one of their wedding portraits, this time with their little sweetie and not the bouquet!

What a breath of fresh, vibrant air this was. I love photographing other artists + businesses that have built something so dear to them and have such a fierce passion for what they do. This place has a giant heart and you feel it when you walk in. Everything is so intentionally put together and curated with every accessory lover in mind. If you’re in the area, you absolutely have to pop in and see for yourself.

Still smiling thinking about Hanna and Evan’s wedding in New Orleans earlier this month. When Hanna first reached out, I kind of died. What were the odds that I was in the exact same city, at the exact same time the year before for another unforgettable celebration?! Felt like fate bringing me back and this time, I was so pumped to have Sara join! 📸 📸

Hanna is the bubbliest, sunniest, sweetest soul and an insanely talented artist. She had a vision to pull color into every corner of the day, even where it didn’t naturally exist, and honestly… best challenge ever.

She got ready with her bffs at the Pontchartrain Hotel, and insisted on a photo in front of Lil Wayne (slide 5 lol). That space alone was enough to leave me in awe, and the rest of the day followed suit.

We did some classic portraits at the zoo and they even shared private vows shared in front of a beloved white alligator. Their ceremony was tucked into lush, dreamlike Louisiana trees that felt like they were hugging you. Every part of the day felt intentional and completely them.

They built the entire experience around their people with friends and family at the center and celebrating NOLA style with incredible food, music, and a dance floor … with EMO HOUR.

We aren’t often there from start to finish, but we’re so glad we were for this one. I felt like a proud parent seeing them drive off into the moonlight. 10/10 couple. 10/10 day. Thanks for having us.
