For every home sold, I fund the rescue of a shelter pet through Paws Across Pittsburgh. Hey, I’m Craig Knox—a Pittsburgh Realtor, rescue dog dad, and proud lifelong yinzer who knows these neighborhoods like the back of my hand. From city streets to South Hills suburbs, I’ve helped buyers and sellers navigate the ins and outs of our local market with confidence and clarity. Before real estate, I sp

ent years in healthcare as a project manager and executive, leading complex projects and guiding teams through high-stakes decisions. That background taught me how to stay cool under pressure, communicate clearly, and keep everything running on track—skills I bring to every client I work with. I’m brokered by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices The Preferred Realty and work side-by-side with my rescue pup, Peanut (aka Chief Morale Officer). Together, we’re “The Pawperty Pros”—because for every home we sell, we fund the rescue of a shelter pet through Paws Across Pittsburgh. I also offer my Threshold Signature Program, featuring concierge-level service, free home warranties for buyers and sellers, smart home search tools that outpace Zillow, and a client portal that keeps every detail organized and accessible. If you're thinking about buying, selling, or just exploring what’s next, I’d love to connect—no pressure, no pushy sales talk. Just local insight, real results, and a mission with heart.

216 Ramsey Ave, Bridgeville, PA 15017 | $265K

Another relocation to Pittsburgh just got Real.

Richard and Cindy are leaving Indianapolis behind to be closer to their son and grandkids, and they're about to call this beautiful Bridgeville home theirs. I'm so excited to welcome them.

Here's the part I love about this one: we did the whole thing virtually. No flights to Pittsburgh, no scrambling to schedule tours around travel. In the past three months I've helped 6 people relocate to Pittsburgh without ever stepping foot inside a plane to do it. I use Matterport 3D, 4K video, and live virtual tours (yes, including VR) to get buyers as close to being there as possible, while also walking through what I'm looking at structurally, water-wise, and electrically. Buying a house you've never physically stood in is scary. My job is to make it not feel that way.

The house itself? The original woodwork survived unscathed by paint and looks almost as new as it did when this place was built. And the Bridgeville main street is a block away, so Sunday mornings at La Bella Bean with a latte from a locally owned shop are already in their future.

Welcome to Pittsburgh, Richard and Cindy. You're going to love it here.

A 1951 architect's drawing of the proposed Caste Village Shopping Center, nestled between Weyman, Baptist and Grove Road in Whitehall, as compared with a similar Google Map view from August 2025.

One of the region's first indoor/outdoor shopping malls, the Grand Opening for the Caste Village Shopping Center was held April 9, 1952. At the time only the ground level shops were ready to be occupied.

Some of the primary tenants on opening day were a Thorofare Super Market, Esso Gas Station, Herbert Pharmacy, Clement's Bakery, Manor Barber Shop, Target Cleaners, Schumann's Flower Shop, Beaver Beauty Salon, Village Hardware. Sites Shoe Store and Village Dairy Mart. There were also modern doctor's offices.

The lower level, which housed seven additional shops and a 24-lane bowling alley, opened on August 24, 1952. The total cost of the shopping center was estimated at $3 million.

See comments for three newspaper clippings from 1951-1952 announcing Caste Village.

Nearly seventy-five years after the initial dedication, Caste Village remains a vibrant enterprise, with quality restaurants, a long list of shops offering a variety of services, and the popular Princess Lanes Bowling Center. There are also several events held on the grounds over the year, including vintage car shows, fireworks displays, Family Movie Night and Farmer's Markets.

From the Caste Village Shopping Center webpage:

"The concept for an indoor-outdoor shopping 'mall' to serve post-war families buying homes in suburban developments came from our founder, Felix Caste, who was the primary developer and builder of thousands of homes and apartments in Whitehall and surrounding communities from 1932 through 1992."

"In planning the shopping center, Mr. Caste sought to recreate the village market in his native Italian town where residents came together for dining, shopping and socialization. The idea was to provide basic family needs in a comfortable and attractive setting that encourages people to mingle."

"While the name 'Caste Village' is posted on the main entrance sign, most locals said 'meet me at The Village' when making plans to go to the shopping center. The village concept carried over to recruiting tenants who were customer-service oriented long before that expression became part of our popular culture. Mr. Caste was at 'The Village' every day, talking to merchants and customers to make sure this facility accomplished his goals."

McKees Rocks sits at a crossroads right now — and 839 Railroad Street is exactly the kind of address that makes sense before the neighborhood fully catches up with itself. On the border of the West End, with Robinson shopping just 10 minutes away and the North Shore's energy close behind with the upcoming Esplanade and access to the casino and stadiums, this three-story home gives you something real to work with.

The main level was renovated with intention: granite countertops, soft-close cabinetry, and stainless steel appliances — and yes, the fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washer, and dryer all stay. The eat-in kitchen is practical and updated. LVP flooring runs through the main level and lower level; upstairs, carpet keeps the two bedrooms comfortable. The bathroom was fully redone — subway tile shower surround, new tub, updated vanity and fixtures.

The lower level is where the flexibility lives. Third bedroom, home office, rec room — it adapts to what you need now and what you'll need later.

Out back, a fully fenced yard holds more than you'd expect: a newer deck, a fire pit, and a pond make this a genuine backyard retreat. It needs some landscaping attention to reach its potential, but the bones of a great outdoor space are already here. An alarm system is already in place.

The home is ready for someone who wants to put their own mark on it — fresh paint and some landscaping cleanup would go a long way with some other minor repairs needed. The bones are solid and the updates are meaningful.
With the upcoming Esplanade development on the horizon and quick access to Robinson's shopping corridor and the North Shore, this address is well-positioned.

Schedule your private tour and experience it for yourself.
