Pittsburgh Real Estate Sucked — So I Fixed It.
Before I became a Pittsburgh real estate agent, I had been through plenty of real estate transactions myself.
Not one was an experience I’d write home to Mom about.
And when I eventually got into real estate, I realized something: the problem wasn’t that agents needed more gimmicks.
The problem was that one of the largest financial transactions of someone’s life was too often being treated like a sales job.
Real estate agents should be fiduciaries, but few act like it.
I don’t really “sell houses.”
I provide consulting, guidance, strategy and representation to people making enormous financial decisions and help them save money or increase their ROI when selling their home, which is liquidating a large asset - not a social media opp for self promotion.
Opening a door isn’t strategy.
Putting a sign in the yard isn’t marketing expertise.
Posting a photo at closing isn’t project management.
And being likable or cute on social media isn’t the same thing as knowing how to negotiate.
Whether someone is buying a home in Pittsburgh or selling one, they deserve an agent who understands:
Negotiation.
Not just asking for something — knowing where the leverage is, what matters, and when to push.
Market data and pricing strategy.
Understanding what a property is actually worth and how the Pittsburgh real estate market is behaving — not just pulling three nearby sales and calling it a CMA.
Project management.
Inspections, appraisals, financing, title, repairs, contingencies, contractors, deadlines and closing all have to stay on track.
Financial strategy.
Purchase price is only part of the equation. Seller concessions, financing terms, taxes, repairs, closing costs and contract structure can materially change the outcome.
Actual business acumen.
Because this is business.
And it involves your money!
The extra services you see in this graphic?
I’m proud of them. We built them because I wanted the client experience to be better from beginning to end, the experience you do write home to mom about.
But those things are the icing on the cake.
The foundation is being really damn good at the job and never forgetting it's about people first, not buildings and property boundaries.
That’s the kind of Pittsburgh Realtor I wanted when I was the client.
So that’s what I built.
