One day, they won’t be collecting leaves off the ground, giggling with their sister, or finding magic in the simplest little things.

One day, those tiny hands will be bigger. Their faces will change. And these ordinary little moments will become some of the memories we wish we could step back into, just one more time.

We spend so much time making sure we capture their first days, their first birthdays, and all those big milestones. But somewhere in between, there’s an entire childhood worth remembering.

I still cannot believe that within the next few weeks, we’ll be welcoming this little baby into our lives. 🥹🤍

It all feels completely surreal.

God has blessed me beyond anything I could have imagined. He has blessed our family so abundantly, and this sweet baby is one of the greatest answers to prayer.

We have prayed so hard for this little babe. We have hoped on every star. We have loved this baby before we ever got to hold it.

And now, somehow, we are so close.

Our little world is about to become so much fuller, so much sweeter, and so much more beautiful.

Thank You, Jesus, for this baby.
Thank You for this family.
And thank You for continuing to do more in our lives than I ever could have dreamed. 🤍

I cannot wait to meet you, sweet baby.

💫And one little piece of this story that makes these Mother’s Day portraits even more special… Sam was deployed when we took them. We found out we were expecting this baby after he had already left, so while he couldn’t be in these photographs with us, he was very much a part of every moment. These pictures will always remind me of the season James and I waited for Daddy to come home… with the sweetest little surprise waiting for him. 🤍

I don’t think I’ll ever look at these photos without feeling overwhelmed with gratitude. 🤍

This has been one of the most difficult, unpredictable, and heart-wrenching few years of our lives. Deployment has made so much of this pregnancy feel uncertain, and somehow, by the grace of God, we were given this tiny window where Sam was home and we could all be together.

My gorgeous friend took these for us so last minute, because honestly, that’s what this entire year has looked like. We’ve learned to take the moments when God gives them to us.

And this one feels especially sacred.

We prayed so hard for this baby and He answered our prayer. 🤍

Now, standing here with my husband, James, and this sweet little baby growing inside of me, I just keep thinking… how could I possibly be this blessed?

My prayer now is simple. That we get to keep my husband and daddy home with us for as long as humanly possible. That we get ordinary days together. Family dinners. Bedtimes. Holidays. Babies in our arms. The little things that suddenly don’t feel little at all.

After the hardest years of our lives, this moment feels like a reminder that there is still so much beauty here.

I love my husband.
I love my babies.
I love this little family God has given me more than I could ever put into words.

And I will never, ever take a moment like this for granted. 🤍

I just opened my maternity album and I genuinely got emotional. 🥹✨

These pages hold this tiny little chapter of our family before she’s even here.

And tucked inside the front of the album, a gold foil letter written to our baby girl before we’ve even met her. 🤍

One day, she’ll be able to sit beside me and turn these pages herself.

She’ll see how loved she was before we ever held her.

And THAT is why I believe so deeply in creating albums for my clients.

Your photographs shouldn’t live forever in a folder on your phone or computer.

They deserve to become part of your family.
