"So, when I first thought about doing a bo***ir shoot I was very intimidated. I haven't loved my body for quite sometime. But the more I thought about it the more I realized I needed to do this! I needed to try and love myself again. So all the way up until the day of I was nervous, but Kathi made me feel so comfortable. As soon as the shoot started I felt good in my skin, it's like she awakened something in me that has been dormant for years. She was very encouraging all the way through and made me feel beautiful!!! When I first started shooting bo***ir, I was not that surprised to hear that many were intimidated by the idea. We grow up surrounded by images and ideals of what is considered to be beautiful. We often can't help but to compare ourselves to such things, and shy away from letting ourselves see the beauty in our own self. I am guilty of that too. But in truth, all of us... all ages, shapes, colors, sizes - have human bodies, and ALL possess beauty.
I have learned that the two common denominators in all of the bo***ir sessions I have shot. Number one is that no matter what the age, no matter what dress size, etc every one of them has started out nervous as hell, but ends with laughter and is so grateful that they decided to go for it. The second thing that I realized that my job as a bo***ir photographer is not to show you what you look like in lingerie... It's to bring out the YOU in there. To bring out that confident person inside that's secretly wanting to be seen. We all have her in there. I love bringing her out of people and showing her to them. You can do it! I promise.💕💕💕💕
