The sunsets off the river, the industrial urban architecture, and easy parking are just a few of my favorite aspects of this location.

Senior outfit trends that I love for the girlies part 4: Jeans & a Fun Top! 🌟

Why jeans and a cute top? A few reasons. Jeans give a casualness to your photos that make the wearer feel themselves. We don’t wear dresses everyday, so wearing jeans will probably make you feel a little more comfortable if you’re worried about being in front of the camera. Pair the jeans with a cute top and it’s a whole vibe! You can really pair any shirt with jeans and it will work if you style it correctly. My fav is styling a fun heel with them! I love me a good platform heel!😍

Another reason why I like this look for senior photos is because it gives versatility in posing (shorts work too). I’ll have you sit crisscross or on walls, put your hands in your front and back pockets - things we can’t do in a short dress that will give more variety to your overall final gallery.

Senior outfit trends that I love for the girlies part 3: Corporate Chic, Polished Professional, The Pantsuit Moment if you will…😌

This isn’t a common trend, but one of my favorites. There’s just something about this look that screams beauty and brains! It’s sophisticated and professional but still fun for senior pictures. It’s giving “leveled up”, on to the next life chapter. 👉🏻

If you’re interested in this look for your session, let’s plan a location for it! My fav spot for this look (if you couldn’t tell) is the Mellon Institute Library. Just classic and timeless!

My fav look is Nina’s plaid blazer + skirt combo. A little crop top in there making it more casual and high fashion is such a nice touch! Which fit is your fav?? Comment below!

Senior outfit trends that I love for the girlies part 2: The Iconic White Dress! 🤍

My favorite thing about white dresses, or any white clothing for that matter is that it brightens up the photo! It makes the photo look clean, airy, bright and most importantly…neutral. Why is neutral a good thing? Because you can print this and hang it in any room in your house without clashing with any other colors.

Hot tip! If you’re going to wear a white dress for your session, make sure it’s off-white or ivory. A stark white dress looks light blue in photos!

It’s also a “senior thing”, a long-standing tradition that goes back to the 19th century actually. It signifies new beginnings! When I look back on my year as a senior, I was definitely finding the real Kristin and I can totally tell you that “new beginnings” chapter ain’t a joke! Senior year is when I fell in love with portraiture and look at me now 17 years later! 📷💪🏻

Oh and yes! I photograph college grad photos as well!🍾

Senior outfit trends that I love for the girlies part 1: The long dress or long skirt!

Wearing a long dress for one of your senior session outfits is a great idea for a lot of reasons! For one, it adds a little pizzazz to your session! It’s an outfit you don’t normally wear every day so it adds a fun flair! Bonus points from me if it’s bright and colorful because it makes the final photo pop! 🙌🏻
Long dresses add a bit of movement to your photos too. Twirling, running, or swaying in your dress adds movement and a candid timeless aspect to your images giving your gallery more variety!
They also bring an element of elegance to your gallery if you want a more formal high end look for your senior portraits. 💃

This week has been all about hockey in this house! My husband is Penn-Trafford’s high school varsity hockey head coach and the team just won the Pens Cup on Monday for the first time in the school’s history! They even had a video of their phenomenal power play goal go viral online and will be interviewed on the Pens pregame show this Saturday! Proud wifey right here! I’m probably annoying about it already but I don’t care. It’s just so cool to finally see these guys win it!🙋🏻‍♀️ And now they’re headed to Philly for the State Championship game!! 💛💚

So this week I wanted to feature some of my past seniors who played hockey! I’ve always wanted to get onto the ice for some photos with my strobe lights but haven’t gotten the chance yet. Hopefully this summer!🤞🏻

Session tip: If you’re looking to book your session with me and love the look of these flowers, late August is when we did this session and usually the time of year when the flowers are really pretty! It’s best to book for mid August because if it rains for your session and we have to reschedule, you’ll still have late August for a makeup date when the flowers are still blooming.
