Last Monday we had a partial solar eclipse in Pittsburgh (80+ percent). Our eyes and brains are wonderful and compensate for the loss of luminosity, but the camera’s objective shows it to you just how it is.

So I made a 4K timelapse: https://vimeo.com/231304627. It could use some de-flickering but I don’t have the software for that, so it’s not perfect – but it does show the 2-hour eclipse window reduced to 1 minute.
