On Thursday, December 21st, we recognized the Winter Solstice~the longest night of the year. Yule reminds us that even during the darkest days, the sun will always return to us. ☀️
Traditionally, people would burn a Yule Log while meditating on all that would bring them the most light and happiness for the rest of the Cold Winter. 🪵🔥
Here are some other Yule rituals you can try at home ↓
🕯️Create an alter with materials from nature such as pine cones, sticks, holy or sage. Add red, green or white candles to your alter. Light the candles and gaze into the flames as you call to mind some of your warmest memories from the past year.
🍊 Dry out some orange slices and sting them together to create a garland to hang in your windows, on a pine tree or other places around your home. Oranges symbolize the sun and returning of light! 🍊
🍵 Pour up a cup of herbal tea and stir in some cinnamon to call in strength, protection, and prosperity for the New Year. Notice the warmth of the mug in your palms. As you sip your tea, visualize the liquid cleansing and healing your body!
If you’re swamped with the holidays and won’t have a chance to partake in any Yule traditions in the coming days, don’t worry!
Our upcoming Full Moon Gathering will serve as an opportunity to reflect back on the year and celebrate with friends around the world!
Please join us on Tuesday, December 26th at 7:30pm EST for a 90-minute Guided Journaling Workshop.
Let’s honor the Cold Moon as we welcome back the Sun. ☀︎
