Some family stories are too powerful not to preserve.
For years, Vicky has traced the women who came before them, collecting their stories, their photographs, and the pieces of history that made their family who they are. Along the way, she discovered their family line traces all the way back to the women of Salem.
Women who were fierce, independent and wild-hearted. Women who traveled, took chances and refused to make themselves smaller.
So when Emily, Vicky, Denise and Genevieve stepped into our studio together, this became about so much more than a portrait.
It was three generations of women honoring where they came up, while creating something for the next generation to hold onto. A reminder for Genevieve that there is power in knowing your story. That she comes from strong women and being completely herself is something worth celebrating.
We are so honored that these portraits will live alongside all of the family photographs Vicky has treasured over the years, another chapter in the story of the wild-hearted women who came before, and the ones still becoming đ„°
