There’s just something about fall and a college campus that just feels cinematic.

Every year fall arrives and turns familiar places into something quiet and romantic. It’s a season that lends itself to images that just feel timeless.

Hear me out though, I am not trying to rush summer, but I am looking forward to crisp evenings, September light (which is the best light of the year, in my opinion), and another season of telling love stories. 🍁🍁🍁

One thing I've loved about the Travis and Taylor wedding conversation is this:

No one has seen the photos.

In a world where we're expected to share everything immediately, there's something refreshing about the idea that a wedding can simply belong to the couple.

A wedding isn't content.

It doesn't have to be optimized for engagement, posted before the honeymoon, or planned around what strangers on the internet want to see.

As a wedding photographer, I love making beautiful images. But I love even more when my couples are so immersed in the day that posting isn't even on their minds.

Your wedding isn't a performance.

It's the first day of your marriage.

Live it.

Part two of Sophia + Joey’s wedding day 🤍

After saying “I do,” these two spent the rest of the evening exactly how a wedding day should be spent: surrounded by the people they love most, celebrating the beginning of their marriage.

From their just-married portraits around Hotel Morgan to sweet first dances and cutting their cake, every moment of the reception was filled with joy. But one moment stood above the rest.

As Sophia and her dad stepped onto the dance floor, he surprised her with a song he had written just for her. What started as a father-daughter dance became a moment no one in the ballroom will ever forget. There truly wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

The laughter, the tears, the hugs, the dancing, it was the most beautiful ending to an incredible day.

Part one of Mr. & Mrs. White’s wedding day!

Before the reception, before the dancing, before the celebration there were quiet moments. A first look filled with anticipation, private vows exchanged between just the two of them, a bridal party ready to celebrate their favorite people, and one of the most beautiful ceremonies I’ve had the privilege of witnessing.

Hotel Morgan was the perfect backdrop for the beginning of their forever, and this is only the start!
