Since I haven't posted in a while and my camera has been in hibernation - I figured I'd post some of my favorites from the road trip last year.

Some of my favorite places. White Sands National Park, San Diego, Yosemite National Park, Badlands National Park, Glacier NP, Hurricane Ridge in Olympic NP, Brookings Oregon and from the last post was a fan of shooting Pittsburgh skylines.

After my oldest friend living in Pittsburgh for 10 years I finally came to town. I love the skyline and the ability to get up above it and shoot almost as if you were in a helicopter. It's a fun city and the super cold nights are amazing.

Badlands is my favorite national park, view and wildlife everywhere. Maybe I just had a good experience, but the other top of the list parks are over visited. Heck, in Yosemite you can't park in half the turn outs because of all the tourists / buses.

Went to Badlands and it is without a doubt the most under visited park I've ever been to. It could be due to the amount of wildlife I saw - but it might be my favorite National Park. Adult rams, young rams, bison, prairie dogs and amazing landscapes.

Spent the last few days in Marble, Colorado. Finally got to photograph Crystal Mill. It is a 5 mile 1 lane off road trek in. Some spots have 200 foot drops, which gets real tricky if another vehicle is coming the other way. Light wasn't the best and I'm about 3 weeks too early for the leaves to change color. But, it is another bucket list location checked off on this trip.

Last night I went out to the Bonneville Salt Flats, of course they were closed - so I had to walk out to some spots. Unfortunately it was a little too windy for andromeda shots (I did try). However, in the landscape shot you'll notice Andromeda does make an appearance if you look closely. In that shot you'll also see the northern portion of the milky way - I give it way less attention than the southern portion (for obvious reason).

Happy Monday. Here are a few shots from my favorite big city stop on the trip. I'd never been to San Diego and never would have thought I would love the city as much as I did. My 5 day stay ended up being extended to 3 weeks because I enjoyed it so much. What you see are the sunset cliffs (night shots) the views of San Diego from the Cabrillo National Monument. A fleet of blackhawks going out to es**rt back into port the USS America (if I recall right) they had to come back in because the vertical takeoff F35s was melting the flight deck. The zoomed in beach shot is a glimpse of a BUDS class doing beach PT (4.5 miles away) and skyline shots of San Diego where you can see the USS Midway (a must tour) and the Star of India. Enjoy.

Thank you to the 89 people who thought this page was worth a like/follow. Here are a few shots, posted here first - from last week in Yellowstone. A couple from India ran up to me when I got to the first spot and saw I had bear spray + other defense devices and asked to tag along. It worked out for us both as they showed me spot number 2 that I didn't know existed and liked better than #1. Though..... if you're in a group, you dont need to pull out a flashlight to focus every 30 seconds.
