For those of you who didn’t see the news on my personal page, I’ve been keeping a little secret!!

I am taking on significantly less work in 2025 to focus on being the best mommy I can be, but I’ll be back to my normal schedule in 2026. If you’re currently on my books for 2025 you’re good to go, and I will be taking a couple more weddings later in the year and will start booking 2026 soon! 🤍 first trimester was scary and very interesting for me so I’ve been giving myself grace and allowing my body to rest when I need it and not overdoing things per doctors orders, so I will be working extra hard the next couple of weeks to get caught up on all my editing!

Thank you to everyone who supports me and my business. I’m so thankful for this job and all my clients. Extra thankful that I’m able to take some time off after my due date to spend time with our new little one 🤍

Can we go back to posting singular photos just because we love them instead of creating these elaborate SCRLS for every post? Is anyone else with me?

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good collage just as much as anyone else. It’s also hard to fit all the photos you love from a wedding into 10 frames. BUT social media was much more fun when you just posted for fun and you loved the photo.

Across all social media platforms and creating multiple types of media content, sometimes it all feels like too much. Social media is an amazing tool, and I love getting to share my work with everyone. And I say “getting to”, because it’s a privilege to be able to do this as a job and I get to share and reach more people who see my art, not because I have to share. But sometimes I just want to post one photo though. Not make a reel, not make a SCRL, just post the photo I love.

Mr. and Mrs. Rose 🌹 yesterday was a dream. So incredibly blessed to not only have been their photographer but to also be their friend. They are such a beautiful witness of the love of Jesus and and they are so intentional in everything they do. Beautiful day for an even more beautiful couple.

This is what happens when you let go of the idea of “perfect” during your session. When you’re okay with getting wet and dirty. When you allow yourself to have fun and to goof off with your partner. The giggles are genuine the connection is genuine and the memories with last a lifetime.

I can’t stress enough how important it is for the guys to be on board throughout the wedding/photography process. I know most men hate getting their photos taken, but if you love spending time with your woman, then don’t think of it as getting photos done. Think of it as a fun date night, time well spent with your significant other, participating in something that will make her happy.

Girls: stop worrying so much about your hair being perfect, or your dress laying just right. Let your guard down a little bit and just play. Feel the breeze, embrace the moment, take a mental picture of your session and how you feel during it.

Yes I was waist deep in the water at one point in this session, yes the couple was soaking wet when we left and they changed in the parking lot, but you know what? It was FUN!
