While being able to nail your detail shots on a wedding day is super important when it comes to fully telling the story of the day and serving your clients, it’s also a skill that can translate beyond the wedding world. These sweet cookies from beckabakespgh were a part of Dawn‘s recent shoot with LA EVENTOR and deserved a show stopping photo of their own (just in time for some cute / content!)

One of the things the three of us LOVE about our little styling sessions is getting to bounce ideas of each other and getting to hear what other people think of our compositions. It has helped the each of us grow and really take our photos to the next level. The workshop is like that but BETTER. We will be doing some styling while walking through attendees through our process, then letting everyone go to town on their own detail shots (and a super cute floral bar!), and we even have a little “critique” built in so we can all talk about what everyone loves (or would modify!) in the final compositions. I know watching Palermo Photo work magic with this set up totally blew our minds (and inspired some future flat lays!). So glad Candace Jeanne Photography - Pittsburgh Photographer captured the process!

We are here to help you with that. Not just tackling the challenging pieces, but helping you educate your clients on what to bring, how to prep for details, and why they should give you time to work your magic with their details! So many of the questions we’ve gotten could be solved with educating clients. Which is also why we’ve decided to open the workshop up to wedding planners! During our last get together, Dawn Derbyshire Photography grabbed a suite from a real wedding that can be a challenge to shoot! Sometimes these large vertical suites can be tough but there are a few ways to make it work.
