The little details mean so much to so many brides. This image meld catches the rings, necklace, watch, and so many other pieces of the wedding day puzzle. This was so much fun to create, and I am in love with the final image. What do you think about this combination?

Nothing was "normal" about this session...

And that's the exact reason it was perfect. My sister stayed true to herself for these images, she's not one for total glamour, for dolling up to look like someone she isn't. She picked this location because her and Brandon love to hike these trails all year round, and they certainly fit the leisurely outdoorsy type in their engagement session!

They have also chosen not to wear rings, not even an engagement ring! Though this isn't the normal for most, it suits their personalities to a T.

Kacie begged me for a snow session, and we didn't get very much snow this winter, but one Tuesday in march it was dumping snow, and she called me and asked "Can we please go do the pictures tonight?" I hurried to get done at work so we could catch the end of the daylight and the falling snow!

Jackie said to me something like “I doubt I’ll like most of these. I just hate how I look in pictures.” And picture after picture I took. Some moments in between the poses and such, we laughed, and SHE laughed and it was beautiful. I’m so glad she loved this candid moment where she was laughing truly and beautifully. She laughs a lot in real life, and I’m so glad that her brand can be represented by an image of who she really is.

Hi! 👋🏻 I’m Jackie Thornton.

When I was 11 years old, my father and grandfather designed and built a second addition onto our ranch style home. I would always be so intrigued to watch them both draft floor plans and details by hand while working through problems to create our dream home for our family. I understood most construction components of a building and how they came together as a cohesive whole. Since it was just my father and grandfather building our family home together, it took many years (a decade!) to complete such a large project. As I grew older and knew I wanted to move further with an interior design career, my parents put their trust in me to help with the interior selections. Before I even finished my Bachelor of Science in Interior Design at La Roche University, I had completed a project on my own and I was extremely fortunate to have my parents give me that opportunity. Fun, right? So, when I tell you that I love design, I mean it. I LOVE design. It’s been a part of me for a majority of my life.

Following my education, I gained commercial design experience (specifically retail) and then realized I wanted more… I wanted to help other peoples vision for their homes come to life. Starting that path of my residential design career in Scottsdale, Arizona, and ending up back in my hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I’ve developed a wide range of design background from budget friendly to high end residential projects. And, after some time, I obtained my NCIDQ certification.

Knowing what it’s like to live through construction for a long period of time and to work with many clients who have done the same, I’m here to make things easier for you. My goal is to design and develop not only spaces, but experiences to make your life simple. Let me handle the stress for you so you can enjoy the ride!

As the sun set, giggles and silly antics began.
A crazy photographer jiggled a baby’s hippo around and made noises, a mom loving held both of her girls, a young girl fell endlessly through the meadow, and a dad was the only source of a baby’s smile 📸🌅👨‍👩‍👧‍👧
