Does the US Navy manipulate storms? They intend to know much more about where these storms will go much sooner than any other model, and are usually correct! Very interesting, indeed!

Very interesting read! Could it work? Experts tend to believe so!

Scientists say a moon base would make spacecrafts much lighter and cheaper. Earth's atmosphere and gravitational pull mean tons of fuel per second are needed for lift-off.

We are intending to plan a trip to Kecksburg, Gettysburg, and Point Pleasant in the future! Hopefully we can make that happen.

On December 9th, 1965, in the small town of Kecksburg in Westmoreland County Pennsylvania (approximately 40 miles outside of the city of Pittsburgh), thousands of eyewitnesses observed the sky intently.

It was a relatively warm evening and at approximately 4:45 PM, an unknown object streaked across the sky. This object would be seen by thousands as it crossed the Canadian Border into Michigan, crossing northeastern Ohio, and eventually coming to rest with an impact site to the east of Kecksburg.

The travel time of this object when it was first observed crossing the Canadian Border to its landing site in Kecksburg was approximately 10 minutes, leaving researchers to conclude this craft had been travelling at over 1000 miles per hour.

As this object travelled over the city of Detroit, Michigan, it generated a shockwave or sonic boom that had been strong enough to be registered on seismographs in the area. Fire departments in northeastern Ohio stated that debris fell from the sky, seemingly coming from the object in question. The debris falling caused a few small brush fires to ignite as the hot debris fell within the area.

This event gained the attention of NASA as well as the US Military, however they claimed this object was nothing more than a meteor that had entered Earth's atmosphere and burned up in the process. However, those residing in the small town of Kecksburg disagree with this report. In fact, they sing a different tune in terms of the story.

This event is still a mystery to this day, leading to disagreements between neighbors, thus setting of a massive mystery still to this very day.

During this event, eyewitnesses claim the object took an extremely unusual path. Apparently, this object shifted from a southeasterly direction to an easterly one rapidly. Near the end of it's flight path, this object turned southward in an instant and within a second, it shifted back to the northeast just before crash landing near Kecksburg.

As this object rapidly descended in altitude, two children claimed the object crash landed in the woods near their home. Both children ran inside as fast as they could to tell their mother about what they had witnessed. In a patch of woods near Acme Road the object came to rest, crashing into the ground. The owners of the property, Francis Kalp, along with her husband Arnold Kalp stated that their two children explained what they had seen.

Francis quickly dialed 911 around 630 PM after visiting the crash site. The only thing she could see was a ravine with a thick column of smoke billowing up.

After the state police had been notified, word quickly spread of the crash. The local law enforcement office was quickly inundated with phone calls regarding the event. Local news media also began to mobilize and descend into Kecksburg.

The local radio station WHJB near Greensburg also recieved a plethora of phone calls from panicked citizens living in the area. Office manager Mable Mazza stated she received phone calls from other radio stations as well attempting to gather information on the incident.

Later on in the evening, calls would come in from the US Military as well as the Pentagon. WHJB reporter John Murphy had been present during these phone calls. He believed these calls were made by local pranksters, however one particular call he received at 6:30 PM would remove any doubt.

Murphy decided to head to the crash site after this phone call and what he saw defied his mind and left him in disbelief. While arriving at the site, he discovered Mrs. Kalp and her two children standing near the site. After a few moments, he made his way into the woods to get a closer look. While there, he took a few pictures of the crash site. After this, he met with State Police Officer Carl Metz (from Greensburg, PA). The time is now 7:20 PM and Office Metz and another investigator entered the woods.

Both men were carrying flashlights with them as well as a Geiger counter. After time passed, the two emerged from the wood line and were approached by Murphy. Murphy was told by both men they were unsure of their findings and that any further questions would need to be directed to the military. After this, Murphy returned to Greensburg to make sense of his findings. He soon met with a plethora of police officers and military personnel ... What the hell was going on?

A Kecksburg Volunteer Fire Department responded to the alleged crash site first. They were instructed to head to the northeast of Kecksburg to near Kuhn Lane. At this point, the team of fire fighters entered the woods. Accompanied by state police, they traveled deeper into the woods over a hill. At this point, they observed a strange blue light coming from the area of the crash site. Due to hoards of onlookers, the state police set up a road block to the area. At this point, Assistant Fire Chief James Mayes had entered the area to investigate. To his amazement, the aforementioned fire station had been converted into a makeshift military headquarters and acted as a launching position for the operation.

The Kecksburg Voluntary Fire Department was not alone in this. They were also joined by Lloydsville Fire Department that had been located 20 miles away from Kecksburg. The firemen all had been told they were to recover a possible downed aircraft in the area. Upon their arrival, they were presented with a map marked off by grid lines. They were assigned a team and were told the area they needed to search.

Soon after, their walkie-talkies would light up with activity. To their amazement, the object in question had been found. Part of the Lloydsville Fire Department, James Romansky had went to the location with a group of firement. Being just 18 years of age at the time, he had no idea what he was getting into. After searching the area, he observed a large acorn shaped metallic object approximately 15 feet in length and 12 feet in diameter that had been partially buried in the ground at the opposite end of a large trench in the ground. Around the area, most of the tree tops had been sheared off. He observed the object as having a bronze or golden color with no wings, windows, or doors.

He also described the object as being smooth with no seams. Romansky stated that it had no signs of a propulsion system and no evidence of life had been found near the object. Around the outside of the object, he observed some sort of strange language (some type of hieroglyphics) that had been carved into the craft. Moments later, before he could make out any additional details, two military personnel arrived with Geiger counters. At this time, the firemen were told to return to their trucks and that they would handle the situation from there. From this moment on, the crash site had been cordoned off. ... TO BE CONTINUED IN ANOTHER POST LATER ON.
