I know it's late, but I just got home after spending nearly six hours downtown. Today had it all. Well, almost. Lightning strikes (I captured two separate triple strikes, and a whole bunch of others). Torrential downpours (which I stood in and am gonna be soaked for weeks to come). Dramatic clouds. And to top it all off? An amazing sunset.

I headed downtown shortly after work, as there were some storms heading towards the city. I thought it would be a quick trip, and I was SO pumped because I finally shot lightning this year. But then the storms just kept coming. And coming. And coming.

And pretty soon it's hours later, I'm getting hangry because I didn't eat dinner, but I was too focused on all the timelapses that I was capturing and looking for lightning. I had actually headed home at one point, as it looked like the storms were over, when I got a message from my buddy Dustin McGrew Photography who said, "storms have fired back up. You should come back.". So that's what I did.

At the end of it all was this amazing sunset, and it took an eight image panorama to capture it all. I have SO many images to share from today, and I can't wait for you guys to see these lightning strikes. Stay tuned.
