🎉 T W E N T Y - S E V E N 🎉
Yesterday I celebrated another year older, (hopefully) wiser but just as annoying.
Most people know my brain doesn't have a 'pause' button, and during one of my hamster-wheel-thought-trains I was thinking about how I presently view myself + what I hope to keep in my line of vision during this next year of livin' it up.
I'm PLEASED to write that I feel the most self-assured I ever have - both in who I am + in the cute little business I've built for myself. I'm the first to admit that I'm not even CLOSE to perfect at doing these things, but I credit most of this ✨sparkly confidence✨ to making a conscious effort in learning...
- when to speak + when to listen
- when to take action + when to do nothing
- when to lead + when to follow
I think an example of TRUE courage + confidence is admitting you don't (and can't) know everything, while remaining committed to continuous learning + trying to add value each day.
Which brings me to my 2️⃣7️⃣th year motto: ~Add Value~ The Good Lord has blessed me with some awesome giftings + skills and daily opportunities to use them. This year's goal is to HUMBLY attempt to add value to each interaction + experience, whether that be on a client's wedding day or in the check-out line at Sephora (hear, hear!). I know that this won't always look like I want it to or be in ways that's easiest for me, but I think it's good to remember that adding value to something/someone doesn't subtract any from yourself.
If you've read this far, I hope you found just a teeniest bit of encouragement or atleast got a good eye roll out of it. STAY EATIN' 🍞 USE THOSE FRESH GIFTS
PS - Please don't be fooled. I am still + will always be scared every day, of everyTHING. I gain a phobia with every passing hour. But it's progress LOL
Not sure I've ever written a caption this long. Don't get used it 😉
