When I say I love when couples make their wedding day feel like them, I really mean it.
The sentimental details always get me.
So when Brittany told me her grandma made her wedding dress, I immediately wanted to hear the whole story.
There’s just something so special about wearing something that was made with that much love and care by someone who means so much to you.
I thought it was only fitting to let Brittany tell the story herself…
Brittany - “When my grandma offered to make my wedding dress, it was something I simply couldn’t pass up, because honestly, how many people get to say their grandma made their wedding dress?
She has played such a huge role in my life, so getting to wear something made completely by hand by the woman who helped raise me made it that much more meaningful.
Over the last year, she spent countless hours creating not only my dress, but also my mom’s, and we kept it a surprise from everyone until the wedding day. Watching my mom realize that both of our dresses were made by her was such an emotional moment.
It made the entire day feel so personal and special, and it was such a beautiful reflection of the love and care my grandma has always poured into our entire family.”
