Some of the most beautiful moments in my life happen when I’m photographing people. It doesn’t happen every time, but there have been a few moments when the world around us seemed to transform, the colors, the light, and the energy became truly magical.
One of those moments was standing barefoot in the sand during a hazy sunset while I was capturing a pretty girl smile and dance with her fiancé to gentle romantic music played through a speaker. I’m deeply moved by her loss and feel so honored that she chose me to capture one of the most meaningful moments in her life. She was so loved by her husband, her friends, her relatives, and her family.
Mindy, thank you for giving me the chance to create some of my favorite photos in this lifetime with you and Yang. Rest peacefully. 🤍
I’ve included some of my favorite captures of Mindy along with our last email exchange, when I surprised her with a small gift. Her response was brief, but it made me very happy when I read it and it coincidentally was on my birthday.
