Recently I submitted my AP Art Portfolio entitled “American Teenager.”

The inquiry that guided my investigation was “What does it mean to be an American teen?” I wanted to be able to convey the life of a small town American teenager through a camera lens. This combined my two passions of story telling and photography. Music was heavily involved in the process of documenting my answer to the inquiry. Using music I was able to feel the emotions of the singer and translate them to a visual pose or angle. I knew that I wanted each piece to link with one another without being the same thing over and over again (emotion, pose, etc.). a good story is meant to weave itself and I’m proud to say that this one did!

Each picture is entitled by a song I felt moved the story forward to the final picture. You can check these out on my story!
