Outer Banks gave us a wild day, 36 mph northeast winds shut down our fishing charter after the captain warned of 10 ft waves. Learned the saying, “Winds from the east are a beast, west is the best.” That same day, a house on Hatteras Island near us was washed into the ocean as the shoreline shifted. These were taken the day before the wind storm.
