La Mezcla SF at the Brava Theater April 2025

What a moving experience watching Tap dancing is close to my heart as it is one the first dance styles I learned. The rhythms of Latin dancing mixed with tap was so instinctive. Dancers performed mostly acapella and the beats were energetic and exciting all throughout the show. The live music accompanying the dancers was just as electric. Female singers and musicians were also dancers. The talent on stage was immeasurable.

It also carried a message about the struggles of Latina women through racism, sexism and criminalization. A beautiful way of using art to send a powerful message.

Cuba 🇨🇺

I got to visit this beautiful and misunderstood island a couple months ago and I learned so much about how this small country has survived an unjust blockade, and still produces many of the world's doctors for one thing.

The culture and pride you see there shows that the people are educated and active in defending their home. They trust their government to protect their interests and are free to share their history and struggles. It was a truly inspiring experience, and I feel so lucky to have been able to travel there.

🌹 Rose in the trees 🌲

I was so happy to be able to gift my good friend Rosie with a maternity photo shoot last month. She imagined a witchy forest wonderland, and where better but the hills in her hometown of Oakland. She is now a new mom! I'm so glad I was able to be a part of this special time in her life. Love you Rosie!
