I’ve always wanted to see an owl in the wild, especially while I had my camera ready. I was focused on tracking a songbird and must have unknowingly startled this beauty when it flew across right in front of me and landed within my view. It blended in with the trees so well that I never would have known it was there if it didn’t fly in front of me. Definitely an exciting addition to my bird list! 🦉❤️

Purple Finch.

These are pretty rare, and I’ve only seen them at my house twice (last winter was the first time). Northern Cardinal. ❤️

One of my winter favorites. These are frequent visitors to my backyard feeders, but they don’t usually come around much while I’m outside with the camera. I was pretty excited to capture a few shots of these beauties in the icy trees. ❄️🧊📷
